My mom used to tell us that she was 29 on her birthday every year, I don't remember how old I was when I figured out that "she said that last year," but whatever, for some reason, 30 must've seemed old to her and her generation. I didn't think twice about it when I turned 30, 40 or even 50, but I will admit that for some reason, 60 definitely seems like you're going into "OK, you really are getting older now" territory. I guess it's better to feel that way about 60 instead of 30, and I'm sure I'm really not going to feel any different when I turn 60, but it does seem like a line will be crossed on that day...
