NC has draconian, backwards alcohol laws. Thankfully, it looks like the government’s monopoly on liquor distribution and sells (all ABC stores are owned by local governments) is about to be broken with legislation that is working its way through the state legislature.

ALE agents (NC’s gestappo for alcohol and gambling) and local ABC agents are the damn worst. That TABC agent would fit right in with these asshats down here.

Louisiana has always had colorful characters in high political office - The Long Brothers, Edwin Edwards... The voters appear to like their leaders on the crooked side.

Any LA public official who did those things as accused will probably get a bump in his/her poll numbers.
