Syd the Kid (Odd Future DJ...who I also think is Tyler the Creator's sister) and other OFWGFTK peeps have a 80s style funk band...and I like what they're doing. A whole lot better than the other stuff coming from Odd Future, for my personal taste.

My son in the ministry's neo-funk/fusion/hip-hop/r&b group (he's the lead with the braids). Not my cup of tea but they have a following in Brooklyn and Philly - he's there several times a year for gigs.
