Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

Paul Wulff fired...

This one is a real shame, IMO, because as the story notes, Wulff was basically playing Texas Hold 'Em with no hole cards his first couple of years in that job. Washington State might well have made a bowl game this year if they'd had any luck with keeping QBs healthy-- they lost their starter minutes into the first game, and after they looked to have found a gem in third-stringer Connor Halliday(494 yards and 4 TDs in his first start, a 37-27 win over Arizona State), they lost him to internal injuries after the Utah game. Plus, Washington State's firing an alumnus who loved the school-- the next guy might come in and win with the talent Wulff's recruited, but he'll likely jump at the first bigger offer to come along(especially if WSU hires somebody like Mike Leach). Wulff would have stayed.

Those sons of bitches should have never let Mike Price go to Utep.

You don't often see a fan blog praising a head coach that's gone 9-40, and going on to blame the fan base for that coach's firing.

Washington State only gained about 230 yards of offense tonight in the L.A. Coliseum. They turned the ball over three times. They couldn't run the ball at all. They committed about 90 yards worth of penalties...and they just beat USC. 10-7 is your final. Who would have thought Mike Leach's first big win at WSU would come in a game like this? And who would have thought Lane Kiffin could screw up so much talent so spectacularly? The answer to that second question, of course: just about everybody.

USC didn't complete a pass greater than 8 yards and was 11 of 21 for only 54 yds total
