Yep. He has to wait until his HS graduating class completes its Junior year in college.

His dad should have held him back in 8th grade...then he would be eligible for the NFL draft. Or he could have gone to Canada and hoped that he didn't tank there and claw his way back to the big time like Flutie.
The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

not only is he being used... alot of experts think the day he goes pro it's over for him, he may carve out a decent living but the fact is he doesn't project well as a pro

so.. what if this is it for young johnny football? might as well do everything short of getting a suspension & keep trending on twitter

life will never be the same for him when he's the starting QB for the Winnipeg Bluebombers
If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it, then how bad of a decision can it really be?

Hey, a moral victory. Rice fans revel when those occurs. But they may suspend Manziel for a couple of games if this is true.

Why he did it doesn't make sense. He absolutely doesn't need the money. Selling your autograph online? Using a guy you don't know all that well?

Don't know if that's arrogance, stupidity or both.

A&M charges $20K for a fan to have dinner with him and the kid is going to get busted for making spending money signing his name

fuck the NCAA
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

That dinner was worth the second mortgage.

yes, in particular when he could tell A&M no. His father gave him a mercedes in exchange for him not drinking as a teen. He's from old oil. Hd didn't do it for money. He did it for arrogance and because he's a spoiled brat (as rat says).

How many Aggies does it take to eat an armadillo?
Two. One to do the eating, and one to watch for cars.

An Aggie went hunting and shot two deer. When he went to the taxidermist,
he was asked if he wanted them mounted.
"No," the Aggie replied, "kissing will be fine."

An Aggie locked his keys in the car. Took him 4 1/2 hours to get his wife and kids out.

There were three Aggies huddled around each other at a local bar. All of a sudden, they jumped up and yelled,
"Yeah, 45! 45!" The bartender goes down to them and asks, "45? What are you guys so excited about?"
One of the Aggies speaks up: "We just finished a jigsaw puzzle. The box said 2 to 3 years, and we did it in 45 days!"

Real question about NCAA and this whole Johnny Football thing:

Let us say you have a kid that is a freshman in high school and he is a genetic freak. The next Tom Brady / Peyton Manning. He is all ready being recruited by ND, Bama, FSU, and Oregon. All the normal hype you get.

So, his junior year he gets some sort of nickname like Johnny Football, The Gunslinger, whatever. Now, at this point in time, his parents trademark his name, likeness, nickname, and such and setup a corporation of some sort to where the son isn't involved in the business at all except they own the trademark or whatever you want to call it. Can he "invest" himself like that to say he won't touch these earnings or investments until he has finished college and/or drafted into the NFL? Meaning, that he could sell autographs and the college would have to pay him to sell his jersey and likeness, but not be able to touch the money until after his college career. Would that still violate the rules?

I would think there could be some sort of way that could happen without losing his college status.

Thoughts?
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

A student athlete cant make money off of his image. Even if he does it before enrolling in school, he is jeopardizing his amateur status. It does not matter that whether technically "the family" is making the money. Johnny Manziel is in this situation now, and per a ruling by the NCAA the only proceeds the family can currently collect would be any damages awarded via trademark lawsuits.

Doing these types of things while still in high school I think still hurts your status. Someone famous in high school like Shabazz Muhammad or OJ Mayo cannot endorse adidas or Nike and make money just because they aren't in college yet.

"If after all that aTm (the person) doesnt show some remorse, then yeah I'll probably give him some shit."

So you're saying if UNC fans showed remorse you'd stop talking about it? Somehow I doubt that...

"Let us say you have a kid that is a freshman in high school and he is a genetic freak. The next Tom Brady / Peyton Manning. "

How dare you include Manning with Brady in that category. Blasphemy...

Sure I would. Admit that U*NC's athletic success is built on fraud and cheating and I wont have anything else to talk to you about.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

A&M's athletic success is built on the backs of memorabilia brokers.
