Utah had it right when they moved Deron

If a guy turns down an extension, then move him immediately, that will be the new standard and makes Toronto/Cleveland management look even more incompetent over the Bosh/Bron fiascos
If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it, then how bad of a decision can it really be?

agreed dot. You never get fair value for a guy when they are non-commital to returning. I like what Presti is doing in OKC. It definitely hurts the team short term but he got "decent" talent in return and who knows what the picks become... but a heck of alot better than the Miami 2nd rounder we received.

Have to agree that Harden's overrated. I know he's young, but he looked lost for long stretches of the playoffs.

Harden showing what he can do when the ball is in his hands.

37 points, 12 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals...

Best player ever.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

Some day people will remember him as the greatest #1 pick in the draft of alltime. Not yet, though, he still has much work to do to eclipse Jordan in that department...

Jordan wasn't number one in the draft. The blazers wanted Sam bowie....definition of big mistake.

No overall #1 pick will ever be better than the Jordan/Bulls pick. It changed history.

Sotola...it's an inside joke carried over from TGP. Don't fight it, embrace it. I personally like the addition of Harden to the mythology...albeit a bit premature. So far, Jeremy Lin is a better #1 pick than Harden. Only so far.

OK, I admit it. It looks like the trade is much better than I originally thought. I'm surprised that Terrence Jones hasn't entered a game yet.

Observation, not a complaint

I still don't think Harden's a max player. Nice empty stats but he's 2nd tier in my opinion. I think OKC wins in the end. I understand why Houston did the deal, and it's a very good pick up for a team that was quickly fading into oblivion, but it came at a huge price imo.

They still have room to sign a max player next year (if they can find one)
