I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

International rules and refs suck. Shit at one time there were 1.5 fouls per minute being called. That was a joy to watch. Not.

"Congrats to Anthony Davis on winning his gold medal....."

He got the final rebound. Nice gesture by K to put in a college kid to end the game...

We let pros play for the gold in Olympic basketball...wish we'd do the same with boxing. It's a bit crazy that professionals are allowed in some of the sports and expressly forbidden in others.

Also, if we have synchronized diving, trampoline and handball, not to mention ridiculous taekwondo, I think they should add MMA.

Can you imagine Pacquiao and Mayweather fighting for the gold? Just beyond awsome.

don't see that happening

no promoter/trainer/management team would go for that, neither would HBO/pay-per-view

additionally, the pros train stylistically for single fights and gameplan/train specifically for one opponent, I don't see them letting their guys go for back-to-back days against different opponents

MMA/Dana White would give the Olympics a big middle finger if they ever tried to sanction the way his Octagons operate, he built & pioneered his shyt while every sports network & athletic body treated him like he was a Vince McMahon WWE spinoff

unless the IOC ponies up some major purses he'll be good converting Judo-kai medalists into future MMA fighters, and they seem to prefer operating on the outskirts
If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it, then how bad of a decision can it really be?

100% @ Dot

Also, Pacman & Mayweather squaring off for gold would never happen because the IOC & NBC would have all the revenue & footage rights. Any pro boxer would be idiotic to do an Olympic event.

The US doesn't make boxers anymore, either.

I think Dana and the UFC would jump at the Olympics. It would legitimize him and his sport. If he didn't, others in MMA would. While Dana owns UFC, he doesn't own MMA.

Many of the pro boxers would not play, but some would. I'm old enough to remember the discussions about letting the NBA stars play in the Olympics. Many knew it would never, ever happen because of the risk of injury and the lack of a financial incentive plus the need to give up a good chunk of the limited off season and how Olympic training and the end of the NBA season overlap.

I don't know about Mayweather, but I can see Manny doing it. National pride and his career in politics means a lot to him. While you wouldn't get everyone, I would be willing to bet you would have a ton of middle of the pack pros who would.

Heh.... and the good ol' unc Goat Pen boys want to criticize the academics at UK. Check out Peppers' transcript.

From KSR...

We take a break from giving you University of Kentucky basketball, football, and recruiting news in the most ridiculous manner possible, to give you news of University of North Carolina academics being as ridiculous as possible.

UNC released the academic transcript of Julius Peppers today, and unlike the infamous Eric Bledsoe transcript leak in the summer of 2010, the Chapel Hill-based university didn’t need the help of Richard Pitino to get it out to the public. No, for some unfathomable reason, UNC released Peppers’ transcript to the worldwide web on its own, possibly by accident.

Have a look…

Image Image

UNC has since removed the transcript from its website, where it was originally posted as a “test,” “generic” and “made-up” student transcript. But there are far too many similarities in previous reports of Peppers’ classwork, and his name at the top of the page, to play this one off as coincidental.

I can’t say anything bad about those Ds in Stagecraft and Kiswahili; those are two tough classes. I mean, hayo mbili ngumu madarasa.

Okay, so call me a redneck racist but the Black Experience courses he couldn't get over a D+ in? Really?
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.
