Intelligence, never doubted. Stubooness at assuming what is written instead of what is actually written? Yeah, on that you wrong. Never ever tried to change your mind on your religious beliefs. But the fact remains that is an abortion and every physician has to do spontaneous imcomplete abortions which is the medical term for a miscarriage. It's not legalese, it's terminology. Your assumption that I performed any elective terminations is just wrong, primarily because of my own religious beliefs

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
always a heated discussion
how bout on the other end of the spectrum which is what I deal with
Do you believe in Slow codes? Is there a place for the medical provider to say enough --in a full code patient who is terminally ill--for instance. why pap smear grandma and go down that road when grandmas been in and out of the hospital with multiple other problems.
I despise watching the medical system rob our senior citizens by instilling fear in them

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
I understand that end-of-life care is by far the biggest cost in the health care system. I can see why.
When my Dad was in the final stages of Alzheimers, my sister (a PA married to an MD) demanded that we take him in for more and more tests, try this experimental treatment and that, keep his heartbeat going for as long as possible... If she was calling the shots, we would have run up a million dollar bill in a week with absolutely no chance to change the inevitable.
I'm sure my sister's wishes will not even be an option soon.

I'm for it though --at least some kind of overwatch that makes the decison enough is enough
hospitals depend on that income though and will never police themselves

Owlman wrote:Not a question for me. An abortion is a medical term for evacuation of the uterus in a pre-viable pregnancy. There's therapeutic, imcomplete, elective, and partial (note not partial-birth). You don't have to kill something to have an abortion.
In practice, I agree with AA. Because of the ease of doing them in the office and the ease of a physician who just claims that there is no heartbeat, early terminations will be extremely hard to prevent. Post-viable inductions are just pre-term deliveries.
Per-viable....that window will continue to narrow until almost zero. Then the pro-life folks better be putting money where their mouths are and helping fund and adopt raise.

Worth repeating.....
"A great economy grows with innovation, with great people, with a president yelling, 'We're going to grow,' not saying, 'You rich bastards.'

I never said you performed any kind of abortion. You did. I'm happy you've been able to maintain the needs of a profession along with the needs of your beliefs. I understand a miscarriage all too well.
Again...I disagree with abortion when used as a birth control mechanism. I'm not passing judgement on what a physician has to do to when a pregnancy is problematic.

Looks like Obammer and the MSM agree(shocker, I know)....can't run on his own record.
ABC moderator George Stephanopoulos embarrassed himself on national television with questions plainly intended to embarrass the Republican candidates.
On Saturday night, Mr. Stephanopoulos stepped outside the role of honest interlocutor when he pursued Mitt Romney with the issue on nobody's lips or legislative agenda: whether states have the right to ban contraception. Likewise, fellow moderator Diane Sawyer, who asked Republicans what they would say, "sitting in their living rooms," to a gay couple.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
So who is calling out George Stephanopoulus for asking embarrassing questions of a politician? Just curious.
Shep Smith beat on Gingrich pretty good last night...trying to draw Newt out for criticizing Mitt for not controlling his PAC ads, while throwing up his hands and declaring he can't control his own PACs either. I guess ol' Shep didn't get the memo about tough questions either.

USNWR poll:
Instead, according to the new Washington Whispers poll, many voters aren't forgetting what they dislike about Obama and want him out of office.
In our New Year's poll, when asked what news event they fear most about 2012, Americans by a margin of two-to-one said Obama's reelection.

None of those polled will vote. Obama will be reelected.

So last night the Fox news babe was rattling off some of the recent good economic trends of late - American autos, December consumer spending, huge lending numbers etc. But I swear she was doing it through clenched teeth.

9:1 odds and you're still bitching. Sad.
Deep thought of the day: "I was adopted. I thank my birth mother every day for not aborting me (although I wouldn't doubt her decision if she did)."
