Although he played for a rival and is a terrible announcer, I have a soft spot for him because in 1982, he gave a friend and me his autograph while waiting in line for The Beast at King's Island. It was a June weeknight and the crowds were small, so he thought he could bring his blonde chick in to sneak a few rides without getting noticed. He was very nice.

I've lost the autograph since then. Not that it would be worth anything.

He also seems to be on the Drake Maye bandwagon which of course I don't mind...

Not sure what to make of this

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Wouldn't have thought UK fans would need to be told either of those things...

I'm sure I speak for DS and countless others (but esp DS) but I don't know that I've ever been to a UNC football game without some form of liquor snuck in, usually a flask but sometimes airplane bottles. My dad had one of the binoculars flask, I loved that thing...

My “good luck charm”’ for years was a pint of Evan Williams green label. I don’t care if it was 110 degrees in the shade, I was going to be wearing pants and Wellington style boots with at least one pint in a boot leg. Prior to that it was always a travel flask from Ken’s.
I proudly took AFAM 040 at Carolina.

Man, Carolina football fans are a joke. I know it's only East Tennessee State, but it's a nice day and the stadium is way less than half full. Way less. Fans tepid. Then you turn over to UK/Bama and the stands are packed and loud. I know it's Bama but I suspect UK has the stands pretty much full every game. Yet some Carolina fans think we're supposed to be a football power...

Good on Kentucky fans for showing out. But as we’re seeing now, Basketball schools just can’t hang with the football powers. Yeah, I know Cignetti turned Indiana into a football school, but were they really still a hoops school? It’s been 40 years since Alford’s buttcut title.

Anyway, I used to love going to Carolina’s football games as a kid, back when we were pretty good. Of course I enjoyed the socializing (hot Sorority girls) in college, even when we sucked beyond belief. After graduation, I had season tickets for Mack 1.0. Maybe I was the rare fan smiling post Judgment Day ass whuppin’ by FSU, as I’d attended the epic Blue-White Game before, when Vince amd Antawn put on a show. Then he left for Texas and we sucked again. Real life and HDTV sapped my desire to spend my entire Saturdays in swamp ass humidity anymore.

Feel for Kentucky fans today, a weaker Alabama was ripe for the picking and they came up short, very short. Everyone wanted it for Will Stein.

Unfortunately he has proved anything yet.

aTm, nicely done vs ASU today.

BYU really looks for real. As does Utah.

University of Washington, does not.

Just in case you ever wondered if the fans singled out by crowd shots on a broadcast were actually a real reflection of what a student body looks like…

Theres a huge population in the state. Texas (like many other Universities that view themselves as competing for brass rings in “academics and research”) has been overwhelmingly disproportionately asian for a long time.

On one hand it is interesting that you would see a minority population assimilate so dramatically into white/southern football culture, so I find that interesting and positive. But its also going to draw some attention, I suspect, for suddenly announcing itself on the front porch of the University (athletics) and for how incongruous it looks compared to expectations.
