eCat, Landman is an awesome show, totally awesome. The dialogue is first rate, top notch. The topics and subject matter regarding the people working for the Landman are spot on accurate given today's issues and problems. Yes, lots of problems in the "man camps" (not just boring shit like drug addiction and prostitution) and you are not going to get this level of brutal honesty in ordinary tv dramas. This one is raw, on point, very much on point.

It's written for retards like IB. I watch it out of morbid amusement, but it's written for dipshits like IB.

When I was posting on Eagleoutsider (before they disbanded the forum) half of the BC grads wound up graduating law school. If you didn't major in computer science, then an undergraduate degree from a school like BC doesn't do very much without following it up with a law degree, a medical degree, or an MBA. It was basically a college football forum for lawyers. They told me the most "accurate" (if you can call it that) movie/tv show that illustrates good actual lawyering was, My Cousin Vinny. They said the courtroom scenes when Joe Pesci turned the corner was good trial law defense representation. Myself, I can't stand the majority of John Grisham movies like A Time to Kill. I think they are a bit ridiculous. Although I did like The Firm.

Everything else, unrealistic as you said. TV law and Movie law, its just hot young girls with model great looks acting as lawyers. Kind of like Grey's Anatomy is for doctors.

Speaking of movies about you, has anybody watched Death of a Pastor's Wife? That's IB's scene all day long. Same bullshit preaching about how women are "supposed" to behave towards their husbands. This dude was a sexual psychopath, yet IB would defend him and condemn his wife, even though he mentally tortured her and had affairs left and right (and would make her ride around with him and get homeless people to jack off and cum on her). Yeah, he was the pastor. IB supports that, thinks his wife was in the wrong, shouldn't have been allowed to get a divorce, should've "submitted" willingly to his every fucked up demand. You're a fucked up motherfucker man, I can easily see you attending this church, week after week as the psycho pastor preaches sermons about wifely duty (sexual duty) and fidelity. And you're just as psycho as that dude...

I mentioned the Pastors Wife on the politics thread. There is alot more to it that didn't make it into the documentary. His first wife accused him of having sex with girls at the church and she has the names. He also hit a woman with his car. I think its strange theu didn't interview his first wife, or Mica's first husband.

My guess is because of all of this attention, the preacher is about to hit rock bottom and may find himself in a state park out in the middle of nowhere with a gun too

I grew up active in church. A girl my age who went to the same church married a friend of mine when she was 19, started dating him when she was a sophomore. I was a groomsman in her wedding.

She fucked the preacher who was in his 30's. This was the early 90's. Her family was big into church, her dad was our sunday school teacher. All the adult leaders were in a group called The Apple Dumpling Gang who donated money and did charity work in the name of the church and her parents were big into it. They also worked a farm together.

Broke up the church, several people left. She had 3 kids with her husband and he left her ass in a heartbeat. I didn't think she should have married him because he was a bit of a selfish ass, but whatever - fucking the preacher isn't the answer.

By then, I was in college and had quit doing anything with the church but that was about the time I decided it was time to be a Deist, which by my interactions is more hated by Christians than Atheist. They think they can convert an Atheist. Deist just take the easy way out.
