Pope is pretty agressive with a grass roots campaign. Donors who sign up for recurring donations get access to the team at events throughout the year and designated practice sessions, plus they have do have some big donors who will give as long as they feel the program is contending.

Word was mid season last year that Pope wasn't going to have that kind of money this year but I guess they came thru again, maybe he met with them individually.

At any rate, NIL is still wildly evolving and what coaches learned this year is you don't go all in early in the season for a hyped up kid when there will be established guys coming out for the next 4 months

Also I don't think UL has Papa John's anymore - at least not significantly, when they booted Schneider I think that money dried up. I don't know who the major donors to UL are, they may have a collective like UK
