Re: Tennessee Volunteers
According to Brent Hubbs he was supposed to be banned but he didn't think it was a lifetime ban so he showed up last night to make his game altering calls.
Hubbs is looking into whether or not it was a lifetime ban but he was so corrupt that he was actually banned from calling a Tennessee game and now he was back out there last night. I thought he was permanantly banned when it happened, but it would be like the SEC to allow a corrupt official that you absolutely positively KNOW has a vendetta against a certian team to call their games.
Unfrigginbelievable.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I am amazed that the SEC would continue employing an official who not only was known to be corrupt but also has a proven vendetta against a conference member and does everything in his power to destroy that member

And then ensures that the corrupt official is assigned the one team he has it in for.
It's just another drop of water in the endless sea of WWAVCs.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
It's official: Bray's thumb is broken and he is out 4-6 weeks. Now we've lost our biggest playmaker on offense, our starting QB and our starting tailback to injury. And don't forget we lost our best defensive player right before the season started. Time to start playing for next season.
At least we've still got fewer losses than those punks up in Columbus.
And a win against the cheaters from Bama would almost make me forget all of our troubles.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Cheaters? Ahh, you must be talking about the Vols and just misspoke. BTW, how long are you on probation for and when do you think you'll hear the resolution on the additional penalties for the Willie Lyles/Seastrunk stuff?

And, for what it's worth: we're gonna pound the stuffing outta the Vols. We would have even with Bray and the hotshot WR. Without them? It'll be a bloodbath. Hide the women and children. Better yet, just forfeit. You'll save a world of pain.

UT needs to jump to the ACC now before things start getting set in stone. At least there they can compete in the next 10 years. Plus, the officials will probably treat them better.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I wouldn't say our running backs suck ass. I would say our o-line can't open a whole to run through against a bunch of dead grannies therefore our 'backs look like they suck.
A pleasant suprise this season has been Lane. With Poole apparently down, I guess we'll see more of him. Thinking of the future, that's a good thing.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Our current recruiting class is ranked 13th, with room to improve. Some of those ahead of us are maxed out on commits so maybe we'll move into the top 10.
And the pressure is off as far as winning the East is concerned (damn, but it was wide tf open), or competing for a respectable bowl. We can focus on getting experience for the young guys and building depth for next year.
In fact, let's shut the scoreboard off this Saturday and work on the things we need to work on. Run-blocking, special teams, deep ball defense.. different situational stuff. Screw CBS and LSU; they can adjust to our scrimmage routine or not.
Danielson: "Vern, I believe this penalty is because the vols have 72 men on the field."
Lundquist: "Oh MY!"
