We could only dream of having two major party candidates as capable as George HW Bush and Bill Clinton today. Sadly, neither of them (at least with their 1992 positions) would have enough steam to make it past the Iowa caucuses now thanks to idiots like Tree and IB.

The options we have now (our current options) have received a combined 220,000,000 million votes in their career in running for POTUS. Clinton never got anything like that. Neither did Bush 41 or Perot.

Now, IMNSHO, Perot is (or should I say, was) the best of all of these men. But he never won a state, never won anything. All he ever did was serve his country honorably in the navy, sell a year's worth of IBM in the first 2 weeks of his employment, and spin up his own multi billion dollar tech company. Oh, and he hired mercenaries on his own dime and rescued his employees who were taken hostage in the middle east. That was reason enough alone to make the man not only our President, but also our KING! But the electorate was too fucking stupid to vote for someone so completely obvious as to who should be our anointed leader. So, I've kind of given up on the people of this country to make the right decisions for themselves.

The democrats do not want a repeat of 1980 when so much of Jimmy Carter's efforts were in stopping Ted Kennedy from taking the party nomination from him. So the DNC undermines and blacklists any and all primary opponents to a sitting democrat President. Standard Operating Procedure.
