I didn't watch much of the game tonight due to work stuff and a teething nine month old waking up crying and screaming in an attempt to get attention.

I don't know if a full blown zone is the answer to our prayers on defense because this team isn't smart enough to rebound out of a zone. It sounds crazy, but rebounding can be trickier out of a zone because the players lack a natural / predetermined person to box out like one has in a man defense. You may see them run an even more sagging version of 21-Defense (Roy's man defense wherein the defender doesn't deny/overplay). This team can't play the traditional 22-Defense (Roy's man defense wherein the passing lanes are overplayed/denied) because they suck at understanding rotation and spacing. They're allowing open looks outside and drives down the middle. It's usually one or the other, but this team sucks so bad they're allowing both.
