speaking of movies, there is one movie that doesn't get much discussion. Its been out awhile - I don't know maybe it won all kinds of awards - its a mind fuck
The movie is Shutter Island with DiCaprio and its a Martin Scorcese film. If you haven't seen it, its about a US Marshall who is haunted by the death of his wife, PTSD from what he saw at a Jewish concentration camp and his belief that Andrew Lansden is responsible for the death of his wife.
I won't say anymore than that because it would spoil the movie but if you haven't seen it, I think its definitely worth watching. You'll get frustrated with the continuity of the movie but its actually all part of the bigger picture. Then you'll want to watch it again.

caught a movie I liked yesterday while stuck - Hostiles with Christian Bale. Goes in a direction I didn't think it would and it made it more enjoyable. Its gritty and a good plot.

Listen, from the span of June 15 through June 21, we (1) went six nights without air conditioning during the hottest week of the year to date (and Trane sent the wrong fucking part which caused an additional two day delay until Thursday June 21), (2) were informed on Friday June 15 twe might be having a miscarriage and that we needed to come back Wednesday June 20 to determine how things were progressing, and then (3) were informed that it was in fact a miscarriage on Wednesday June 20.
Add to that that we have been trying for a year to get pregnant, with all of the hormone shots and medicines that entails (to say nothing of the fucking lunacy that shit causes in women), and my wife is losing her mind with depression from the miscarriage and anxiety emanating from knowing she has to go through this shit again.
So, I could give two shits less. Nothing is phasing me right now.
