If that is true, then Henry Ford would make a fine Democrat. They hate all religion, yet somehow love Muslims, who particularly hate Jews.

In keeping with the theme of injecting identity politics into everything, I request advice from the board on the color of my next Ford truck.

Should it be black, to show proper reverence for the oppression of African Americans? Should it be brown, as an homage to the struggle of Latino/Latina/Latinex’s? Should it be red, to show solidarity with the plight of Native Americans? Or maybe yellow, to express sympathy for the disenfranchised Asian American community? How about a custom rainbow paint job, to demonstrate due empathy for LGBTQI’s?

The color of my next truck MUST signal my virtuous feelings for some marginalized group somewhere, and I want to make sure I get it right.

Being an Auburn grad, I think you should use this combination.

Two SWAT team members from a Florida police department have been suspended from duty over their decision to respond without permission to the shooting at a high school that killed 17 students and faculty last month.

The Florida Sun-Sentinel reported on Wednesday that two SWAT officers from the Miramar Police Department who were on duty headed to the high school when a gunman started shooting, even though they hadn't been instructed to. According to the police department, that created a safety issue that resulted in their suspension.

Detectives Jeffrey Gilbert and Carl Schlosser, the two officers, were reportedly in the area where the shooting occurred. Following their suspension, the two were ordered to turn in their SWAT-issued rifles, but they remain on active duty for other assignments, according to the newspaper.

A third SWAT member, Officer Kevin Gonzalez, was suspended for violating the department's social media code of conduct over posts that portrayed the department and the city in a negative light, the Sun-Sentinel reported.

After considerable socially conscious hand wringing, I finally picked out the color of my next Ford pickup truck. It reflects my deep solidarity with a highly disadvantaged, yet completely ignored, victimhood group.

well after much thought I have given up driving my little Toyota with 240K with a cracked exuast manifold and a unknown malady that shuts off the engine unless I am accelerating. rust/accessory malfunction/doorhandle issues also contribute

so now that the 91 Toyota is being retired have been doing the carshopping thing and settled on the bmw x1 for 37k the "premium" . my other vechicle is a 2007 Nissan truck. the bmw techknowledgy is light years from anything me and my wife are used too. we have an appointment wuith a "bmw genius " next week. got a bmw bottle of wine and a pen to boot. the other weird thing is I boutght that nuissan in 2007 for 29K. bmx I pain 8K more 11 years later. car prices really haven't escalated like a lot of other things. 0.9 % loan is nice too

I didn't know we both had '91 Toyotas.

That's a pretty big jump on car to almost $40K Beemer

I don't have the 22RE. Wish I did but I have the 3.0 V6.

First thing I did when I got mine was buy a 1/2 gallon of rust proofer, crawled underneath and put 3 coats of paint on anything that was exposed. I don't have rust issues on the frame, I do have a few rust spots on the body that I have treated and will bondo when the weather gets warm.

I'm going to get it repainted in the fall.

last summer a few days after I got it, I took the seats and carpeting out, drove to Fort Wayne to get seats from a 4Runner and got the interior looking pretty nice - helluva lot better than it was

So is Louis Farrakhan:

So, why are so many leading black Democrats sucking up to him?
Third-Highest House Democrat Shared Stage With Farrakhan, Now Refuses To Denounce

The third-highest ranking House Democrat shared a stage with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, a notorious racist and anti-Semite, and has refused to condemn the hate group leader.

South Carolina Rep. James Clyburn attended a 2011 event with Farrakhan and shared the stage with him, even after Jewish groups voiced their opposition to Clyburn attending the event. Clyburn told the Final Call, a Nation of Islam publication, that he was “not bothered in the least bit” by criticisms of his attendance at the event.

Clyburn is now the eighth House Democrat to have direct ties to Farrakhan. The Republican Jewish Coalition has already called on the seven other Democrats to resign over their ties to Farrakhan.

Illinois Rep. Danny Davis told TheDCNF that he isn’t bothered by Farrakhan’s position on what Davis called “the Jewish question” and confirmed that he has a personal relationship with Farrakhan. Davis called Farrakhan an “outstanding human being” in an interview in February. Following a backlash, Davis reversed course on Thursday and said he condemns Farrakhan’s “views and remarks” about Jewish people.

Indiana Rep. Andre Carson confirmed to Politico that he has met with Farrakhan but declined to say whether or not he condemns the hate group leader.

Democratic California Rep. Maxine Waters, who met with Farrakhan repeatedly, has repeatedly declined to denounce him.

The co-president of Women’s March, Tamika Mallory, attended the Nation of Islam’s annual convention last month and sat in the audience as Farrakhan railed against Jews and white people. Mallory repeatedly defended Farrakhan in the ensuing backlash.

Maxine Waters Attended Nation Of Islam Convention Where Farrakhan Defended Suicide Bombers

“We have Maxine Waters here,” Farrakhan told the convention audience, gesturing to the seats behind him, “our great congresswoman from this area.” The audience cheered Waters’ name.

Waters’ office did not return repeated requests for comment. An interview request submitted to the Nation of Islam was not returned.

Waters’ appearance at the Nation of Islam convention is just the latest tie to emerge between the hate group and Democratic members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).

The clearest ties between Democrats and the Nation of Islam run through Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, the deputy chair of the Democratic National Committee.

Ellison worked with the Nation of Islam for 18 months organizing a Minnesota delegation to Farrakhan’s 1995 Million Man March. Ellison admitted to his work with the Nation of Islam when he first ran for Congress in 2006, but assured the public that he had since cut ties with Farrakhan. But Ellison’s ties with Farrakhan continued while in Congress. Ellison attended at least three meetings with the hate group leader since taking office, according to photos, videos and witness accounts reviewed by TheDC.

I don't know if you guys are keeping up with South Africa but its very close to a race war.

A corrupt regime has decided to take over white owned farms and business and give them to fellow non-white countrymen.

A horribly bad situation has become worse.

Mugabe did the same thing in Zimbabwe.

It will never be reported. It contradicts the whole "blacks are always victims, whites are always victimizers" template.

I guess what goes around, comes around. European colonialism in Africa and Asia has not worked out all that well.

Oooh, nice..."What goes around comes around."

Is that an acceptable argument to use on Arabs in Palestine?
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

I would hope that response is based on actually having no idea whats going on in South Africa right now.
Last week, the South African parliament voted to allow the seizure of land from white farmers without compensation. The motion was motivated primarily by the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Party, Julius Malema.

During an EFF campaign speech Sunday, Malema cranked up the hate and hostilities toward South African whites, saying that his party had decided to remove the mayor of Port Elizabeth because he “is a white man.” He encouraged his followers to “go after the white man” and to cut “the throat of whiteness.”

I'm sure this has nothing to do with the colonial history and subsequent less than ideal race relations in South Africa. It's probably just a coincidence. I'm not defending what they are doing but I don't think anyone should be all that surprised when an historically oppressed group gets power and then strikes back against their oppressors.

South Africa is running out of water. They should worry about that first and then return to their regularly scheduled race war.
