Draft beer at $15. What's the markup on that?

From what it costs to make it? About $14.90. The cup costs more than the beer...

In all fairness both the Reds and Bengals let you bring in your own food in clear containers. Once at a Reds game we freaked out the people around us once we broke out the pound of shrimp we brought.

while I respect the NFL football players right to kneel during a game as a choice, I'm done with the NFL for this season.

actions have consequences, and I'd fully support an owner who fired (if that possible in the age of contracts) a player for doing this.

my not viewing of the NFL won't amount to anything. Maybe if 2m people across the country felt the same way it would.

perhaps the goatpen fantasy league refusing to participate this year will force the NFL to reconsider

I have zero issues if you want to protest peacefully. What the players are doing (even though I disagree) is a perfect form of peaceful protest.

However, know this. Whatever your decide to protest on and when you take a stand on something, know that their will be actions and reactions both positive and negative. If you are willing to make a personal choice, deal with the fallout.

With that being said, I think Trump needs to back off on this, come out and say exactly what I said, and then move on from it. Let people choose with their wallets.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

As of 2016

The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It states:

‘The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition … It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.’

I'm expecting a call from Goodell any minute

Trump definitely put the NFL in a lose/lose

Owners should take on the role of the bad guy, tell the players to stand or they'll lose their jobs and give the players an out.

If any of them feel so strongly about protesting they'll give up their career, more power to them

Thankfully we live in a country of laws so that people can't be fired from their jobs for peacefully exercising their constitutional rights. The NFL rule book nor the offended feelings of some citizens doesn't trump the Constitution...

This is all just something that NFL has to deal with. It's their product, their franchisees, their employees/contractors, and their customers (both fans buying their tickets and the media corporations that buy their tv and sponsorship rights). The United States government isnt involved, its the NFL that has to juggle everything with the feelings of those constituents and struggle not to offend everybody.

Basically they have to just hope it all blows over or chose somebody (tell the players to stfu, or tell the fans to stfu, etc)

Simple solution: play the anthem while all the teams are still in the locker room getting final instructions before running out onto the field pre-kickoff. From what I remember that was SOP in the NFL before the 90s.

that would have been the solution before Kaepernick and if the general public didn't know the reason behind it.

its no solution now.
