Bankruptcy is a tool (according to Christians an immoral tool) in business. Likewise, no business pays a 35% tax. We do not have the highest effective tax rates in the industrialized world, not close. Tell a business that they had an 15% tax rate but no deductions and they will howl.

While I've never said anything about Trump's bankruptcies, I know some people who have dealt with projects of his including one 6 years ago I advised to get out of a deal with him (only losing $300,000). She ended up losing 1.2 million.
