hedge wrote:The opening of the debate last night summed up what the republican primary has become. Rubio had made some crack about Trump having small hands and then slyly (or I guess what he thought was being sly) said something like "and you know what that means!" So last night, Trump's first words were "Marco said something the other day about my small hands", then he held up his hands and said "Do these look like small hands to you? And then he implied that that meant I was small in other places. Let me assure you, there's no problem there."

So basically the republican primary has become about one candidate saying other one has a small dick and then the other one assuring everybody that he has a big dick. That is the state of republican politics today. Hell, maybe that's been the state of politics since the beginning of time...

its all disgusting and frankly none of them deserve to be president - the only two people I think (and I disagree with their politics pretty strongly) are presidential in any way are Kasich and Sanders.

that said, I'm sticking with Trump even though I know I openly cringe at alot of what he says and does. He will lower the bar on the presidency to President Grant levels but it will be worth it for him to ruin the GOP and get petty with everyone who had stood against him.

I want Paul Ryan crying like a little bitch on national television.

I still firmly believe that Hillary is going to have the email scandal before the DNC

Beck has gone cuckoo for cocoa puffs

During the Friday broadcast of his radio show, Glenn Beck said that if he were present at Thursday night’s Republican debate, and “had a knife,” he would have stabbed Donald Trump.

“I don’t know what I would have done if I was sitting in” Cruz or Rubio’s shoes, Beck stated. “I can’t say it that way. If I were on the stage, I would have said, ‘have you been listening to him tonight? Have you been listening to what I say about him?’ I believe these things.”

“If I was close enough and had a knife, the stabbing just wouldn’t stop.”

The Kasich Plan is working perfectly. Phase 2 begins now.

The Kasich plan so far seems pretty similar to the Rubio plan...which is lose for so long that people actually start voting for Ted Cruz as their anti-Trump vote to the point where he may actually win.

Rubio is staying in because he has no political future if he can't wiggle some good narrative out of this run. He has Super PAC money, a new enemy in John Ellis Bush, a slim chance at pulling out a few victories that can make him appear like a politician with a future and nowhere to go if he does bail on this before the Florida primary. He has small kids and is not from a family that has a soft landing available for him if he flames out. He gave up his Senate seat. His logical and historical political benefactor won't even endorse his candidacy, so no way he helps him find a new job after this. Rubio is a man with very little options outside of sticking around a little longer, at least through Florida. Kasich would be silly to bow out before he sees what the Rust Belt offers him. If he can finish #1 or #2 in Michigan and win Ohio, then he can stake out a nice little argument for himself in Cleveland.

I don't see much changing from the guys in the race for the next week or two. This Summer is going to be epic. I can't wait.

Good article about how Trump has triangulated the Republican party.

It is a good article, and solidifies some of my personal thoughts on what I'm seeing out of this campaign.

The best part of the article is this, however...

I mean, for real, if Trump moves out of the non-stop television spotlight he enjoys and the camera pivoted, forcing the electorate to look at this for hours on end, it will all come crashing down for Cruz. Crashing. Down. He's just creepy.
