Exactly.

What was the name of the poster who used to offer (bad) gambling advice?

Sporticus, later SniperPix. The funniest part of him was he took himself seriously (and thought we took him seriously). He's probably out of high school by now.

Ah, Sporty (or whatever his name was). God, what a tool. I'll never forget, after endless weeks of his self-touts and claimed winnings, I actually tracked his posted picks and wager amounts for a long weekend (Thursday thru Sunday - I think it was either the opening or second weekend of the NCAA tourny, so there was plenty of meat on the bone) and kept a running tally on the board. If he had actually bet what he claimed (yeah, right), I think his losses for those four days was close onto $100K, which was about twice his claimed winnings up to that point (again: yeah, right). Of course he got it all back (heh) the next weekend (until his Cambodian boat man bookie stole it from him)...

Ahem (disregard that I mistaken about which iteration of Mississippi had beaten Bama last year. Doesn't matter!!)

In other news, how bout them Tar Heels?

He was fun. I took him to task a couple of times. The way we circled and took him down so viciously reminded me of an old "Mutual of Omaha - Wild Kingdom" show (if anyone is old enough to remember those).

With all the modern conveniences we enjoy these days, those old Wild Kingdom shows seem quaint now. But man I enjoyed watching them on Sunday night with my dad, mainly b/c I could tell he was really into it too...

Yeah.

I loved how Marlin (Perkins) would say something like, "While I am safe here in the jeep, Jim will wrestle the giant anaconda. Be careful, Jim!"

Why does Mutual of Omaha still have that very Redskin-like logo? The PC crowd are not vigilant enough.

Dr. Nostron.

I bet the farm on Miss State. What kinda relief do you offer for such bad advice?

Regards,

AA - well LSU definitely shit the bed in the post rivalry game letdown so I was one for two.

I was very impressed w/ the Tide for that performance and now consider them the favorite to win the NC. You are welcome.

I did enjoy listening to the Miss St broadcaster on Sirius driving home from Tally. As the first half wound down he said "except for the 3 TD plays Miss St has dominated this game". Tuned back in later as the game was ending and he said except for 6 plays it was a very even game!!

I will take his expert analysis as proof that I was correct with my analysis - just did not get the correct result!!!!!!
