It's a bottle of Costco margarita mix. Or it looks like it, anyway.

Is that the wifey who appears to be serving herself some food? Even if it's not, I like the way she steadfastly refuses to give up the drink even whilst serving up food...

I bought some Cabo for the holidays but my MIL grabbed it as soon as she walked into the house.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Had some good margarita drinks this past weekend. Also had quite a few scotch cocktails that were great...

Jesus. Throw some catsup on that filet mignon while you're at it.

Re: La Salle Explorers
speaking of foods, we've added yet another wholesome food store around here - its called "Fresh Thyme".
Pretty much a combination of Fresh Market and Whole Foods, but I'm now a sucker for those places. Matter of fact, I think Whole Foods has the best pizza in Cincinnati.
Fresh Thyme isn't all in on the organic food though - I noticed they have Graeters ice cream and hormel meats - so I think they just want you to feel good about shopping there but still give you the stuff that actually taste good to you.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I bought a relatively new bourbon last week too called Eagle Run. The guy at the liquor store said it holds its own with Woodford Reserve and Knob Creek. I thought my drunkard in-laws would want to try it but they fought over the tequila all week.
I haven't opened it yet - matter of fact I probably won't unless some else does - I'm pretty much just a vodka guy nowadays.

Yeah, that's what I thought too before I ordered one. I was wrong. These fancy mixologists in NYC are doing some interesting stuff...

Not cheap, but I was impressed. Hard for me to imagine anyone who likes scotch wouldn't be, too...

Re: La Salle Explorers
I'm on a Four Roses (single barrel or small batch) kick. I like it better than Knob, Woodford, Buffalo Trace, or Makers.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I had a few that were similar to some of these (including the actual one at Death & Co.). Not sure about the ones with, e.g., egg white and lemon, but I'd be willing to try pretty much anything some of these guys are doing. They're pretty serious about their cocktails...

Re: La Salle Explorers
You should have gone to Yerba Buena on the LES, then. Best mixologists in the city, for my money.
They also make Pisco Sours with real egg whites, too. That's how you know they got their cred.

Re: La Salle Explorers
I mentioned on another board that a buddy of mine who is a bourbon guy told me a few years ago that Eagle Rare was very good, and not outrageously expensive...
