The Goat Pen is not a profit generating website, and it does cost us a little money in hosting fees and other expenses every year. Any donations to help cover the costs of running the site for the group are much appreciated. We post all site related expenses and the date and amount of any donations on this thread for transparency and to let our community know how we are doing.
We have also added banner ads to some pages on the site. As of March 2012, these banners are generating revenue to help offset our expenses and so that we can be less dependent on donations to keep the forums running.
After losing two long term message board homes out from under us, we look forward to making goatpen.net our community’s permanent home, and your donation helps us meet that goal.
