Tiger Prowl? That's SO 2009. They must also still be investigating Bama's textbooks.
I also see that some UGA recruits were caught stealing from the Bulldog locker room. They'll fit right into the Richt system.

Careful how you talk about common thieves at universities.

Yeah, but when Chizik catches thieves, he kicks them off the team.
When Richt catches thieves, they move up on the depth chart.

We got a huge verbal from Zeke Pike, a five star QB from Kentucky. Added to Keil Frazier, another five star QB from last year's class, we are officially loaded at that position.
I just hope that Peaches doesn't become a father figure to Pike between now and national signing day.

That wasn't unexpected according to al.com...

Most Alabama fans have been hoping for J. Winston from this season's class. Winston, Pike, or Gunner Keil who is ND bound (I think) would each be a fine addition to any class.
BTW, a red shirt freshman and someone who hasn't signed yet doesn't make you loaded at a position.

Saban must be slipping a bit. Not long ago, he would have had commitments from Winston, Pike, and Gunner Keil by now.

Fair, at least until signing day. Pike can always pull a Kouandjillo/Calloway on us. But if we get Pike and keep Frazier, then loaded we are.

Oh yeah...he's really slipping.
But if we get Pike and keep Frazier, then loaded we are.
As you wish.
As hard as it is to believe, I was wrong about something...Frasier was a 2011 signee? Yes? That would make you loaded with a true freshman and someone who hasn't signed yet. Did Frasier enroll early and go through spring drills?

When I say we're "loaded" at QB with Frazier and (barring a new Dodge Charger from Gadsden) Pike, I'm not saying either of them is going to be All-SEC this season. I'm just saying they're a couple of big bullets in our orange and blue magazine, ready to fired at somebody in a couple of years with devastating effect.

I just read that tOSUc just got mail from the NCAA.
We should invite them to upgrade to the SEC, where such behavior is appreciated.

Gadsden is out of Dodge Chargers.
How big a gun is that? Truthfully what worries me about the two quality qb's is not what kind of effect they will have, it's how divisive they will become. You should read some of the junk our fans are putting out WRT Simms and McCarron.
The real truth is the fans should shut up a little more. AJ and Phil both have good qualities and I for one am sure Saban will make the right choice. Either way, we begin the season with a RS Soph or RS Freshman as our starter. I do expect good things from them as you noted about the magazine, but what I really HOPE is they don't do the stupid and lose a game we shouldn't have.
Last time we broke in a new qb, had what should be a dominant D and running game, things turned out pretty good for us.

Interesting. You are in the same position with QB's now that we'll be in next year - two highly rated QB's that are young and only one year apart.
This year we've got two upperclassmen (Trotter and Mosely) who have waited their turn, but are widely perceived as mere caretakers until the REAL qb talent is ready. A lot of Auburn fans have extremely low expectations for this year because of all the talent that we lost, and conclude that we should go ahead and start Frazier this year and redshirt Pike next year. If we're going to have a bad season, at least we can salvage it by getting our extremely talented freshman plenty of playing time.

Yes we do have that to go through this season. What's suprised many is just how well Phillip Simms has played in practice and the A day game. This year Saban gave each of them one half with the 1s and 2s during A day and both were about even. Simms has more bulk but ZERO game time. AJ's game time might equal 4 quarters of mostly mop up and GMac concussion time Vs Auburn. He played quite a bit in the bowl because UA absolutely corn cob fucked Mich St. (When you punt on 4th and goal...)
Saban himself has said he would not be averse to playing both. You can even throw in Blake Simms as a change of pace guy... decent arm and good wheels for a "wildcat" with an actual threat to pass.
Like I said, glad we should have a dominant D and running game to take the heat off these two young 'uns.

Thanks to Saban's recruiting, having two superb candidates for QB's (and most other positions for that matter) has probably become routine for you Bama fans. But we are just getting used to that whole concept. We're used to 20 years of mostly, "Whoever our next QB is, I hope our atrocious O-line doesn't get him killed. And I hope he somehow manages to give our defense decent field position."

Well, I'm rooting for Blake Sims since he's a local kid and my son played on a team with his little brother. I doubt he'll ever see the field as QB though.
I don't see why you'd be surprised that a kid named Phil Sims would be a good QB.
