My prediction is September 11th. I could be wrong, but the blackeye the league would take for not having its issues worked out by the tenth anniversary of 9-11 is significant. Maybe not quite as severe as what happened to baseball after cancelling the 1994 World Series (which the Astros would've won! I know it!!), but it would make the jockeying over these last few months seem that much more pointless.

yeah, no way they allow the cash cow to die. The season will go on...but preseason will be basically scuttled.
It'll be a rusty initial 3 weeks to the season.

Human nature being what it is, we'll see a big spike in injuries that the juicing won't be able to hide.
Nothing to see here, folks. Keep it movin'.

You would think. IIRC, Big Ben's contract held some similar type of "risky behavior" clause when he had the motorcycle accident but I'm not sure if it was specific enough in that case either. I don't think he took a hit monetarily from it.

Yahoo! Fantasy Football has opened their doors. Can someone please create a Fantasy Sports thread perhaps in the EC forum? Thanks.

If this franchise could just stop shitting itself, they'd be gold. Everything is set up for them to win for a long time except for one small fucking problem...

Since 2008, no NFL team has had as many drives inside their opponents' thirty yard line without scoring. Christ!
