As a Philadelphian (with our history of struggle wrt football..and just about all other things), there are 3 events that matter to us:

1. Giants at Philadelphia
2. Giants getting eliminated from the Playoffs
3. Dallas getting eliminated from the Playoffs

I'm 2 out of 3. So, I'm a pretty happy Philadelphian.

Alabama players and assistant coaches will have to suffer similar consequences as the 1980 Soviet hockey team.

I recorded it but I went to bed when it was 17 -7 and Bama made them go 4 and out yet again.

Wish I had watched it.

I suspect Lane Kiffin is going to be villified yet again by another SEC school

Not by me. We were 14-1 with a true freshman QB. A lot of that is due to Lane.

Cements the ACC's status as the dominant football league this season. It's not even close in hoops.

That was a great game. Kiffin looks like a genius because he had Hurts all year not looking 18. Last night, Sarkisian debuted a teenager at starting QB. Even with all of that, the last time Alabama had the ball, the kid got them a touchdown and a lead. You can't ask for more than that. It was a great game.

I don't know the order, but this is one of the top 3 NC games I've seen during my years. Nebraska v Miami (Rozier stopped short on the 2 point conversion), UT v USC (Vince Young taking down the unstoppable Trojans) and this game were all classics. Excellent, excellent game.

Lets see, I only truly paid attention once I was in college.

1a: 2016- Clemson over Alabama
1b: 2005-Texas over USC
1c: 2002- Ohio State over Miami
4: 2013- Florida State over Auburn

The only other ones I have vivid memories of were the 2009 game because I attended it, and I remember vividly watching Nebraska get shellacked by Miami the year before the Ohio State-Miami game.

I feel like the other Auburn (over Oregon) win was also good (they kicked a field goal to win it maybe?) but I dont really remember that game well at all.

The USC/Tejas game was back and forth for pretty much the entire game (at least that's how I remember it). This one didn't really get cranked up until the second half (I guess if you're a connoisseur of defensive football that isn't an objection) and the fourth quarter was, obviously, stellar. Glad to see Clemson win, if for no other reason than to highlight the ACC...
