Kinda makes one recall how puter always used to gripe that the economy would rebound just in time for oprama to get re-elected.

Business economists cut their U.S. growth outlook for next year to 2.4 percent as companies and consumers restrain spending, a survey released today showed.
The growth estimate was lowered from 2.8 percent forecast in May, the survey by the Washington-based National Association for Business Economics showed. The prediction for this year was reduced to 1.9 percent from 2.4 percent.
Economists responding to the survey “expect economic growth to be tepid overall in 2012 and 2013, but predict growth to slowly accelerate through 2013.....
Tepid....slowly accelerate....estimate was lowered from.....now that there's some powerful explosions, well at least for a bunch that throws their biggest parties when they beat Vandy.....

Owlman wrote:I was on the defense side. There are frivolous lawsuits. They tend not to get very far though because of the cost to bring them and because judges tend to throw out cases that have absolutely no merit. In addition, opposing counsel can seek Rule 11 sanctions against attorneys that bring frivolous suits.
Most attorneys don't intend to bring losing suits. The problem is that they don't know enough not to believe every thing that their client tells them
I never claimed to be anything more than a layman regarding the law. Talent and I had this discussion previously and I believe what he said and what owl and DSL are saying now: That the truly frivilous lawsuit that ends up winning somehow is few and far between.
Now that doesn't meant that insurance companies don't jack up premiums based on the fear of people filing.

LOL
Insurance companies have to petition for rate increases with the individual states based on prior loss experiences versus premiums paid . Rate filings are a bitch and the carriers often come up empty. They most certainly don't get to "jack up premiums based on the fear of people filing."
Stick to what you know, Mr. Food City Tailgater of the Week.

Good find, sammy. On that page Gallup says unemployment is actually 7.3%, and their poll re: economic confidence is higher than it's been since the spring.

So are you saying 51 % probably realizes that 7.3 is manipulated ?

I wish. Food City must think we are some kind of corporate thing cause they haven't been by ours in two years.
On the ins thing: Fair enough. So that applies for all types of ins including med/mal?
Question since I don't know how it works but if the belief is that lawsuits are a huge deal even when the truth is they are far less than people think does that lead to premiums being higher than they should be?

Funny that the undecided on MSNBC and Luntz's group on Fox shifted heavily for Romney after the debate.
BTW when will Chris wallace, Brett Baier, Britt Hume etc get picked for a debate moderator?
Why is it always left leaning folks?
Krauthammer says a draw then its a draw. Crowley favored oprama and her fact check was incorrect. Romney left a lot on the table.
All in all it probably boosted both partisan sides and annoyed independents.
Where Oprama goes campaigning will tell the tale.
If Oprama is stuck in OH and is in WI/NV/IA and especially PA then he is in trouble.
If Romeny doesn't have to go to NC, VA, FL and spends his time in OH, WI, IA, NV, CO, and PA....if not then he is in trouble.
