"This is life as a Skins fan though."

In your case, I'd prefer to hear about the death of a Skins fan...

Second only to Alabama! They'd be crazy to fire Charlie.

lol. Top 12 teams? That seems a bit cherry picked.

I'm guessing their win over Notre Dame early this season was one of those wins against a "top 12" team, the same Notre Dame team that isn't even in the "others receiving votes" category now...

The only two teams they beat of any note last year were Oklahoma and Baylor, so I guess its Oklahoma, Baylor, Notre Dame, Baylor. Pretty sure Notre Dame was in the top 10, one or both of Oklahoma and Baylor last year must have been 12.

Whats frustrating for me as a UK fan is that its not that Kentucky is any good - although our offense had made some strides since bringing Johnson on as our QB and realizing we have 3 running backs - but that Mizzou, South Carolina, Miss St, Vanderbilt and apparently Georgia are horrid.

Mizzou was embarrassingly bad when I watched the game. So at any rate, It appears Stoops will finally do what he is asked which is get UK bowl eligible. But , IMO, he still has a long way to go before he reaches Rich Brooks levels and with the money he's being paid, he should be well past that.

Bama's dominance eclipses just how down the SEC is this year.

6 of our 8 games are Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, and LSU so it doesnt feel like the conference is down from our seat and we are in the top 10 and don't have to play ourselves.

Kentucky has an outside shot at going to the SECCG (which would be hilarious).

Kentucky is 4-2 in conference with Georgia in Lexington and Tennessee in Knoxville. Georgia is very bad, and Tennessee is in the middle of a player revolt.

Florida is 4-1 in conference with games at Arkansas, in Gainesvegas against South Carolina, and at LSU. Arkansas should be a close game, South Carolina is playing much better, and LSU is playing well.

So, if Kentucky can get a couple of wins and Florida drops to (say) Arkie and LSU, UK will get their ticket punched for the SECCG.

I think this would be great. And if Bama is able to hold serve, I think the Wildcats would play a better game in a rematch.

anytime Kentucky loses their season opener and is middle of the pack in the SEC - its a down year

That's not his M.O. Now, would the starters be working on the gameplan for the next game if we were up big? Yeah. But he doesn't pull starters that early in conference games. We were up 19 in the 4th quarter late against Texas A&M and we had a high percentage of starters in and our starting QB got every snap.

I will be pulling hard for Kentucky to win out. They are one of four SEC teams to never make the SECCG. TAMU, Ole Miss, and Vandy are the other three. TAMU is only in their 5th season in the SEC, and they play in the West, but this would be a thumb in the eye to Ole Miss. They've had 25 chances to win the west and are 0-25.

The best one is what appears to be a jar of mayonnaise (which it turns out it's actually a pee cup, which is even better) pummeling the kid in the open field...
