The 29-year-old girlfriend of South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius was found fatally shot in his upscale Pretoria home early Thursday, authorities said.
Police charged a 26-year-old man -- the same age as Pistorius -- with murder in connection with the shooting and said he will appear in a Pretoria magistrate court Thursday afternoon. But they would not say whether the suspect was Pistorius.
"We can confirm he was taken to a police station but can't confirm if he is the suspect," said police spokeswoman Denise Beukes. "You will find out in the afternoon."
Pistorius, nicknamed the "Blade Runner," made history when he became the first Paralympian to compete in the able-bodied Olympics last year.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

I feel for the guy, he is just a regular joe like me. He puts his legs on one leg at a time.
Hell I don't know if this was even serious, someone may have been pulling his leg

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
Well, we played better overall last night (still plenty of glitches, but I liked the effort) and we still couldn't beat a mediocre Dook team that didn't even play that well themselves. Still, I'll take it as a moral victory. And don't give me any shit about "we don't play for moral victories at Carolina", b/c this season I'll take any damn kind of victory I can get, moral or otherwise. I wouldn't be disappointed at all if we had lost all the games that we have lost this season if we had played like we played last night. Hell, I'd be fired up. But this is one of the first losses where we've been in it most of the game (leading most of the game in this case), most of the other losses have been blowouts where we looked like a bunch of fucksticks flipping and flopping around the court without a clue. At least last night we were aggressive, taking shots hard to the basket (I had no idea that Strickland could actually drive the lane and finish until last night), blocking shots in the post and generally acting like we knew how to play the game. Sadly, I have to count it as an aberration until I see them do it again against a good team. We're fine (and sometimes even pretty good) against mediocre teams, but we've been outclassed in every game against a real opponent (I'm not counting UNLV). Last night was the first time we've showed any indication that we could hang with a real team. Not that Dook is very good this year, but they're on of the better teams out there, which shows how shitty this year is for college hoops.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
And I know I'm biased, but that was some pretty shitty officiating last night. At one point, even Bilas chuckled and said "I'm not sure what's a charge and what's a block anymore", and that was after Dook got yet another favorable bogus call. That says something if even Bilas is saying it...

I'm not saying UK is any better but at one point last night in the second half, UNC went down on 3 different straight possessions and their shot didn't hit the rim. Duke didn't look much better.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
Let's hope all 50 states are correct....
Coach Cal also addressed Noel’s future last night on his radio show, and he suggested a second season in Kentucky blue is an option, depending on Noel’s status two or three months from now.
“It’s a six-month rehab,” Cal said of Noel’s upcoming road to recovery. “When he’s two or three months in, seeing that progress and then figuring out, ‘Is he ready to go on to that next step?’ Like I told him, if you’re not ready, you come back and you become the best big guy in the country. You were one of them this year; you’ll be even better next year. But that’s something that he and his family will have to go through.”
Noel is still projected to be a lottery pick this June and his position in the draft won’t be any different next year with a loaded class. The decision will ultimately come down to if he wants to enter his rookie season in the league with a bum leg, or return to school to improve under Calipari and the Kentucky staff alongside other elite young talent — while chasing that title he was so hungry for this year.
Calipari told him yesterday, “Don’t feel pressed, because after going through six or seven months of rehab, you may say, ‘I’m not ready now to walk into a training camp that’s all new and I’m not ready.’ Well, then you come back and you be the best big man in the country again. That’s his option.”
