Jesus Christ, "liberty white", as in the same "color" used to make French surrender flags?

8 yo grandson practicing yesterday giving less then a full effort in 1on1 tackling

comes over to the car to get his water during a break and I tried the usual pep talk--where's your heart, give some effort etc etc not getting though to him

finally I see the varsity practicing along with some cheerleaders doing drill and point put to him the only way he has a chance with those cheerleaders was to be like those varsity football players

he absolutely flattened the next three runners

When this is taken into account, seeming nonsense suddenly makes sense. The Bengals, a low-spending team, are refusing to trade Carson Palmer, who says he retired but actually wants out of the Queen City. What's the point of getting nothing for Palmer? The point is to shed Palmer's large salary while creating an excuse for another bad season. When in this situation, teams with winning mindsets shrug and trade the unhappy star for whatever they can get -- think Green Bay with Brett Favre or Philadelphia with Donovan McNabb. Cincinnati management does not make winning its first priority. Losing cheap is fine, and getting nothing for Palmer generates a nifty excuse for a weak 2011 season.

After reading that story I'm pissed.

Fans support the team and because of it get fucked. Dumping two $3 million a year players is more economically advantageous than having a winning team and going into the playoffs because fans still buy 90% of the tickets at $30 profit per.

The "woman" is the youngest person on that trophy. The two midgets are clearly older.

augie, I know UNC finally getting busted for something has all the State fans a-twitter but what about this Russell Wilson snafu? what if he takes Wiscy to a BCS bowl and is a Heisman candidate? how will that play out for TOB? this has the potential to be a blunder of epic proportions. of course, not as bad as hiring Butch Davis... (obligatory UNC shot taken for you)

eh, it's business as usual in raleigh. Wilson would not/could not tell TOB whether he was going to play football this fall so TOB went with the bird in hand. the majority of the fans I've seen understand that. As long as Glennon doesnt suck ass this season it wont matter what Wilson does for Wisky. TOB isnt going anywhere regardless. State fans universally wish Wilson well and understand teh difference between Wisconson football and NC State football.
