Here is the update you have all been waiting for. From a few weeks ago:
Hello, I have been running at a high frustration level trying to figure out what to do. The basic features of the Civil Forums software was running ten days ago with only a few minor glitches. Then Firefox updated itself last week!! I don't do auto updates. That shouldn't have anything to do with anything but my test setup (Windows7, Eclipse PDT, XDebug, PHP and XAMPP became screwy. MySQL is OK. Programs that were fine and haven't been touched show syntax errors but the techies I've talked to say the code is fine, it looks like the Eclipse editor has failed in ways that they have never seen.

There is something stupid going on. I probably can't fix it, I will have to learn how to avoid. I will probably have to set up a 2nd test system.

I will be putting the code on civilforums.net, run it, fix the problems, and then turn it off until I'm sure it's safe. It is the hard old fashioned way of debugging things.

I had accomplished a lot in a very short time with the good tools I had, but they have gone south.

Add to that I have had to help several people with emergencies so I haven't had much time in the past few days. But being away from it helps you think of new things.

To keep us in touch with each other, I've set up a mailing list at Yahoo Groups for us. I've minimized my talking with you so I cold pound on the software.

The cabal no doubt slit his throat and left us with this inadequate replacement. Why else is the "new" klaatu so inept, I ask you?

Heh, I didn't even know that happened...and it's literally paces away from my office. My office window doesn't face Central Park (Bergdorf's instead), so I guess I wouldn't have seen the commotion at 11am.

I'm certain many men have killed themselves upon realizing that they could never have me. Rat's devastation led him in a different direction.

I've heard he tapes my best posts to his bedroom walls. One can only imagine what he does while reading them.

From the Arizona Daily Star 6/8:

Former Arizona Wildcats guard MoMo Jones will continue his college career at Iona.

Jones, who announced he was transferring from UA last month, also considered Seton Hall, Hofstra, South Florida and Marquette. Iona is localed in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Jones issued a statement through his adviser, Dermon Player, that was reported on Zagsblog.com, a New York-based basketball and recruiting website.

"After taking visits to the local schools I felt a good connection with Coach [Tim] Cluess of Iona," Jones said in the statement. "I want to thank Seton Hall, Hofstra and UMass as well as South Florida and Marquette for their interest. I want to thank my family and my adviser, coach Dermon Player for helping me in the process.

"I look forward to going to the Gaels and pursuing my dreams of getting my degree and basketball career. My decision was basically solely on being close to my family and still having an opportunity to showcase my skills."

""I look forward to going to the Gaels and pursuing my dreams of getting my degree and basketball career."

He looks forward to getting his basketball career?

Also, considering his "decision was basically solely" I'm guess he wrote this himself. You have to give him credit for that.

when i first saw one of Augie's posts, i htought his bio display listed his favorite team as the tarheels.

then i realized that the formatting simply pushed "state" over to the left on the next line. I have no doubt that this formatting quirk was implemented solely and deliberately by the unc fan mods here to unjustly sass Augie, and for that display of underhanded scheming i say. 'kudos...'

I saw the same thing and tried to manually type in "NC State" but you have to select from the list, and it's not worth me bitching about.
