I can't understand that reasoning. We made the Elite 8 his freshman year and were odds on favorites to get the NC game his sophomore year until Marshall went down. He started from day 1 and was adored by most of the fans. I would say not having two 7 footers in the post would affect his decision more than something to do with Barnes, but then again, he could see that as an opportunity. It's not like he won't be getting plenty of attention and airtime if he goes to UNC. And of course, Roy can coax him with the "next Jordan" carrot...

He's having a solid rookie season and I suspect he'll get better. I doubt he'll ever be an all star, but he'll be a solid starter and earn $8-10 million a year...
