Are you saying the job was used to get him to stay for his senior season or to get him to come to Carolina in the first place? (which was what I thought you meant...hence, the four years thing)

Either way, do you think that a kid who came from money and was raised by his father gave a shit about whether or not his mother was going to get a job making 95k per year? He knew that he would get paid professionally regardless of whether or not he came back. His father already had money, and I am sure he was well insured. That job didn't mean shit to him.

I made a one line joke about it on the Auburn thread. Got a LMAO too. You're the one making an issue out of it. It's obvious that Mama Handsnblow got the job at U*NC in exchange for her influencing Tyler to stay for his senior year. Even you can't believe that U*NC made a legitimate search and came up with this woman as the right candidate based on her education and experience. Hell, the bitch had declared bankruptcy and they hired her to raise money.

I would say at the very worst she got the job as a bone (pardon the pun) just for being Hansbrow's mom, but Hansbrow announced almost immediately after the FF loss to Kansas that he was coming back. I think he pretty much knew that his greatest glory as a basketball player would be as a Carolina player, not a pro. He knew he was going to be a lottery pick whenever he went, hopefully have a decent pro career and make millions, but as far as being the man on a team, this was his last chance. And I think he really did enjoy being in Chapel Hill and I think he really did want to win an NC. I don't think his mammy getting a job with the university had any effect whatsoever on his decision to come back for his senior year, and it sounds like she didn't even get the job until 7 months (or more) after he'd said he was coming back (I'm not sure of the timeline on this, b/c frankly the whole thing is too ridiculous to merit more than passing attention from anybody but addled NCState fans)...
