Up to 8-0 in SEC Hoops, looking like Feb 15 at Rupp will be the only challenge.

Muschamp helped his cause today. Now he can start worrying about Ws and Ls to keep his job.

He's been a good recruiter since he got there, especially on defense.

You got a good one in QB Treon Harris, who flipped (unsurprisingly) from FSU. Fisher seems enamored of JJ Cosentino from Pennsylvania, so it would have been tough for Harris to see the field in Fisher's offense. But in the offense that Roper ran at Duke, Harris could be VERY successful. It wouldn't surprise me if he sees a lot of PT even as a freshman - kid is a winner. I'm not looking forward to facing him, I wish he'd gone to Auburn.

It'll be interesting to see if Roper can succeed at UF. I think he's a bright guy and a good coach, and the sentiment about Muschamp seems to be that he meddles too much. If that's true, he'll need to be more hands off and let his coaches coach...even with the losses the D will be nasty again and with a competent offense, there's no reason the Gators shouldn't compete for the East.

The departure of senior QBs at LSU, UGha, and Carolina will help. A trip to Bammer replacing Arkie on the sched will not. Biggest hurdle is finding a QB that fits the offense and and offense that fits the QB. that and everybody's ACLs staying intact.

Yeah, but in Columbia, Dylan Thompson has plenty of experience. He just isn't mobile like Shaw.

Heh. Of course I expected UT to give it there all and keep it close. After all, they are a basketball school. This tonight was their Final Four. At home. Guess it doesn't matter what sport it is.

I didn't see Pearl on the bench, what happened to him?

If it was my call, Pearl would be back.

But then you'd be banned from the tourney by now.

I wondered what Rat had against Pearl so I looked it up. He was 20 and 10 against the Gators while at UT. So, I guess if you're a basketball guy that would piss you off. I guess.

20-10? They played thirty times?

Yeah, that didn't make sense so I read the rest of the sentence.
Some of the other superlatives Bruce Pearl leaves with include a 20-10 record against Florida, Memphis and Vanderbilt, six consecutive NCAA tournament appearances -- a school first for the men's program -- and achieving the first No. 1 ranking for the Vols in program history.

He was 8-5 vs UF, a definite thorn but somehow they managed 3 SEC Tourney and 2 NCAA titles to ease the pain.

Nice effort though 10ac. I give you credit for admitting your blunder.

Gators get over on 'tucky. I like the way this team keeps its cool and plays good defense down the stretch.

I need to watch more UF basketball. I've always liked how Billy D's teams play but I haven't seen them this year (hardly watched any CBB at all).

Since FSU has fallen in the toilet yet again and has no chance, Cuse is my preferred team this year but I do generally root for UF in basketball.

I've caught them twice. They look pretty good but like you I am just now a week or two into actually paying attention to college basketball.

I'm sure it was hard for you to tear away from college football after the stellar season UF had...
