not sure how anyone went around with a dirty ass for more than a couple of days. Not just an odor issue but also chafing and what not.
Spanish were cleaner. They tended to bathe every day as that was part of the Siesta. English did not do that. Even as late as king Henry the eighth, one bath a week was generally considered sufficient. That was the main reason why the Spanish Princess who was brought to England to marry Henry’s older brother who was heir to the throne, why there was such a cultural divide for those two kids. She was very used to being clean and always well rested.

The main problem here was plumbing. There wasn’t any. It’s not that people didn’t want to bathe more often. It was instead that filling the tub with clean water was a terrible hassle and a drain on very limited time.

I have a little routine in the morning where the days I go into the office, about a mile from the McD's I pass, I order a coke zero and a mcmuffin on the app and usually its waiting for me when I go in. I sit down and scroll twitter or whatever.

Every time I am there, there is at least 1 door dash driver waiting to pick up food.

While I was slow to start using apps to order food, I now see how convenient it is. I will not go to a fast food place if I can't order ahead of time on the app now

But I can't make door dash make sense. Paying $23 for a chicken sandwich to be delivered to you cold? My son does it more than he should, and he doesn't have the money to throw around for that

I agree with all of that.

I guess Gen Z got all pissed off at the Boomer's telling them to stop going to Starbucks and they could buy a house, so instead they order Door Dash

I have door dashed a few times before covid when I had a good bit of money saved up, but probably never again. Also have never once and will never tip for pickup. Grocery stores will start begging for tips at some point.

Crazy story. Cops shoot an 18 year old dead after exchanging fire after a stolen car chase on Thursday. Yesterday his father just chose a random cop and mowed him down with his car after seeing footage of his sons shooting. Fucked up.

It's all fun and games when you're murdering blacks in the hood. Not so much when a piggo gets a little retaliation in return.

I saw on the news that the guy hit the cop and they were making a huge deal about it

I didn't know the rest of the story

Careful, Tree, your Maga brethren don't like that kind of talk. You're kinda confused, aren't you?

I don’t have a problem tipping for traditional service but I saw where someone posted this and it’s my new rule. If I am standing when I order my food then I am not tipping.

so that brings me to my current disappointment. A chain called Burger FI

I haven't eaten at one since maybe 2017 but I remember having a burger there and it was the big, great tasting burger

Tonight I ate at the same one, so like what 8 years later maybe? Ordered their signature burger and it was a this tiny thin patty nonsense that wasn't much better than a McD's double. Except I paid $19 for the burger, fries and a drink. I'm not kidding when I say it was probably half the meat you'd get at Five Guys. I guess toasting your logo into the bun makes it high class.

That's not really related to my tipping issue, except that when I paid for it, I was standing there being told she would let me know when it was ready and I could come get it - and as I was paying with my card the tip option came up and it started at 20%, with 25 and 30% on the screen as the other two options. I was thinking, what in the world could they do to think they earned a 30% tip telling me when my burger was ready?
