We're 5 point favorites against the Holes. That means we lose by 25 instead of 20. Fuck me with a table saw.

Who gets the home game in the NIT, UNC or UK?
It's absurd how Roy has let the talent dip in Chapel Hill.
Augie -- Enjoy the ride...The dropoffs are a lot more painful, trust me.

I think we've got some decent talent, they're just young. I think Tokoto and Brice Johnson are going to be real good...

Not the talent as much it is the use of the talent, no way Hubert should be playing more than spot minutes if two bigs are in foul trouble he should be the 5th big.
Johnson should have started and Macadoo should not have been matched up against Leslie.
Stirckland should also have been on Brown when he was in the game,
ANd PJ needs more minutes he as one turnover after playing 1 1/2 minutes to start the second half and does not come back in until 9 minutes left.
Really think Strickland should start at the one then Paige come in for him after 4 minutes are so.
ANd Roy should not be afraid to go small more often with Tokoto as the 6th man as he did the last 6 minutes.

If Roy thinks he as to start Stickland and Paige then PJ should come in at the 16 minute mark and play 8 minutes sit a minute or two and come back in.

Hedge -- What is Roy trying to prove by starting Hubert? Not only is he no threat on offense, he's a negative. No one has to guard him at all. We're getting jumped on the road, as teams are salivating at our lineup of...
...a center who is pathetic (Hubert)
...a shooting guard who can't shoot (Strickland)
...a point guard who is in way over his head (Paige) -- And I officially apologize to Goldie, as he was right. Paige sucks.
And then, you have McAdoo throwing up wild shots (Since when has a supposed All-American PF at UNC shot under 45% from the field?)...And Bullock is inconsistent at best. Our biggest offensive threat comes off the bench, and even then, you never know how long Roy will play him (Hairston).

I didn't say we were loaded, I just said I see glimpses of real talent. I didn't even mention Hairston, but even you seem to agree that he's pretty good. I think McAdoo and Bullock are better than what you said (obviously admitting that neither are true studs, but they're solid). Hubert is a project, always has been. We'll be glad the next two years that he's getting some time this season, a season in which we are absolutely no threat to get to the FF and maybe not even the tourny at all, so why not use it to build up players who will help us in the next couple of years? Best thing that will happen next year is Strickland will be gone, he's average at best and isn't going to get better, so the best thing for next year's team is that he'll be gone. Hairston, McAdoo and Bullock will be one year better (and I think they're all getting better and will continue to), the scrubs (Hubert and Joel) will be even more serviceable and maybe Hicks will be a true stud (I don't have much hope that fatty Meeks is going to do much next year) and maybe we get Wiggins (doubtful, but possible) and we'll be very good. It's a down year, all ll I know is we're not as bad as 2010, not as good as 2006, but you have to endure a year like this every 3 or 4 years (wish it was every 5 or 6, but oh well). I agree that it does seem the recruiting has slipped a bit, but one class can change that. Look at UK, they were sucking for over a decade and now it's "best recruiting class of alltime" every year. They needed it, but that won't last and this year proves that those "best recruiting class ever's" sometimes don't turn out quit as planned. But they're clearly back and will be as long as Cal is there, but we'll get a monster class sooner rather than later ourselves and everything will be fine, and we'll have a stable of seasoned upperclassmen to show them the ropes. I bet UK fans wish they had something like that about now...
