Rumors are floating around that a story about Memphis HS football is going to be very ugly for certain SEC schools...

Where have I seen this story in the past?

To be more specific about the rumor, supposedly another Charles Robinson article is coming out this week and it will accuse a number of SEC schools of violations and fraud in the Memphis HS system. Auburn and Miss State are rumored to be the schools with the most to be worried about.

As that article notes, Miss State had an assistant coach resign completely out of the blue about a month ago.

Logan Young? What did he have to do with MSU?

This season feels worse than any piddling probation. It'll feel even worse when we start 0-4.

Correction: make that 0-5.

I dunno AA... maybe his spirit is attempting revenge against the poor bastard universities...? Tennessee's been trending down for a couple of seasons now and Auburn, well, he probably didn't like orange.

Petrino would not stand for such. Tommy Bowden is tanned, rested, and ready also

I believe you meant to say TERRY Bowden.

And if Lowder still has the money to own a private jet, I bet Petrino's lat/long is already entered into the nav system and is being constantly updated.

No, I meant Tommy... y'all have already paid Terry his hush money.

AFA Petrino...he was wanted by Yellawood / Dye / Jacobs a few years ago ie... jetgate. I would HOPE, after the way things went down in Arkansas, that Auburn's BOT would not even consider Petrino any longer, or at least at this time. Can you imagine him trying to recruit against Nick, Les etc... with that hanging over his head? He won't be coaching against Mike Shula. Nick had a pretty good record against him UA v UA. Like perfect. That includes '07. His defenses have never been anything to brag about, especially against elite teams.

I just wonder if he would be worth the baggage... remember you have to recruit the "Mammas and Daddies" as much as the kids.

I hear a fund raising job at the dental school can get you a senior season out of a consensus All-american.

Dumbass, the job didn't even come open until after he began his senior year, and she wasn't hired until December 8th.

I know that this may come as a shock to you, but the Hansbrough's aren't hurting for money. His dad was/is a successful orthopedic surgeon, but I don't want facts to get in your way.

right DS, the job opens up in November, UNC makes a nationwide search for a qualified candidate and hires the mother of it's highest profile athlete in 4 weeks. even you aren't that stupid, and just how much money do you think ol' Tami was getting from papa Traveler after he divorced her for fucking around on him? UNC has used jobs for parents as a recruiting close for years.
