There's a stat: The Brewers won more home games (57) than the Astros won regular, old games (56) this season.

Jumpin' on the Rays bandwagon are we?
Have you seen Astros baseball the last two years? There's only one other thing to jump on or from, as far as they're concerned.
Have you seen Pirates baseball the last 18?

AL or NL? I'm going to guess some Red Sox or Yankees player win the AL version. NL should be Matt Kemp, but probably won't.

You said Cabrera was the probable MVP. I don't see it.

Whether he is or he isn't, he at least should be. Granderson is a good guy, but no way does his "slash line" stack up to any of Ellsbury, Bautista, or Cabrera. To me, Bautista was clearly the best player in the AL this year, but his team wasn't very good. Cabrera is in the top three league-wide in average, WAR, OBP, OPS, slugging, total bases, doubles, BB, and is in the top five in a few other categories. Plus, his team's actually going to the playoffs. Verlander's had a great season and should win the Cy Young, but Cabrera is the Tiger who deserves the MVP award.

They didn't throw Bartman out. They took him out because they feared for his safety. They didn't want a goddamn riot on their hands. People were all ready throwing beer and food at him. They made him leave to protect him and the entire crowd.

Heh, Bill Simmons wrote about that in his running diary of the game. It was the good thing he could pull out of that whole show.

I seem to recall in the documentary the a security guard came down - perhaps not to throw him out but that is when the pub owner in the grey track suit pointed to Bartman even though he went for the ball too. I think they were going to throw someone out because people were getting out of hand.
It wasn't until the girl showed up that they made the decision to escort him out for his own safety.

Obviously jinxing the Tigers by even posting it, but the Yankees haven't won a divisional series against a team not named the Twins since 2001.

I'd vote for Verlander over Cabrera as MVP. But then I'm biased because Verlander played summer collegiate ball here. So I'm jumping on the Tigers bandwagon.
Kershaw should be NL Cy which means Kemp can't be MVP because you can't have both major awards come from a .500 team

wow boston didn't wait long--canned franchonni already. 2 world titles don't mean a whole lot I guess when you have the second biggest payroll and don't make the playoffs 3 years running.

There is a lot of rumbling that Youk has been a major problem in the clubhouse.
