We stopped at an Indian grocery last night up in Mason and I got some Paneer Makhani. The box described it as richly spiced which I should have known better.

Holy shit, I love the taste of it but it is crazy hot. I ate about a 1/3 of it and then it hit me - this is going to come out of my ass at some point, so I had to stop.

I know you guys are on pins and needles waiting to hear about my kitchen renovation.

We decided to expand the counter along the length of a wall which requires we take out the windows we have and replace them with smaller windows and then redoing the brick on the exterior. I hired a contractor to match the brick and do the window install.

We're adding 8 feet of base cabinets/countertop so we're taking the old laminate out and replacing it with a granite top. Then we'll paint to contrast the granite.

Since we are relocating the fridge, we will buy a much bigger one now, one of those French door models and we're swapping out the electric range for a gas with built in griddle.

The food will taste the same and I won't get any wild monkey sex for it so I'm not all that thrilled with the expenditure.
