Looks like I was wrong on the AU-UGA game.

That would be the coolest thing ever: me with the ability to negatively affect AU games with my posts here. That's a super twin power that I want.

First half... Our defense is awsome. The wind is blowing hard but our kickers haven't fixed a damn thing this week. Our offense is pissing their pants for some reason.

Wind isn't helping the kickers for either team. Their guy has missed two also.

Just pick auburn in every game. Reverse voo doo hexes have to have some effect.

Alabama leads NCAA in all 5 major defensive stats: rushing D (51.9), passing D (129.5), total (181.4), pass efficiency and scoring (7.1 ppg).

Just think what our scoring D would look like if we'd punt and play field position instead of trying 49 yard field goals....

I think we could have actually shut LSU out.

We screwed the pooch, no doubt. That's football, though. LSU didn't come to play a series, either.

That said, if we get another shot...

Heh! "We didn't come out here to play no damn series".

And another shot isn't completely out of the question.

UArk wins out, means they beat LSU... we win out... Alabama, Arkansas, and LSU are in a three way tie for the west. They go with the highest ranked team to go to ATL. It could be us against Okie ST.

Or,

Alabama and LSU win out, OU beats Okie ST in bedlam...could be a Bama/LSU rematch.

Or,

If we take care of our bidness, there would be a different team wondering about the "IF".

There won't be a rematch, the world won't allow it. But an SEC team will be there and probably once again win it.

The world doesn't have anything to do with it - just the BCS.

I disagree. The world is larger than the BCS

Not in deciding if there is a rematch. Right now Bama is 3rd. Okie State wins out and they're in. If they don't, and we win out, I like Bama's chances.

The AP now is a very large part of the BCS. They'll have a big sayso in who is that number two team.

The AP is not part of the BCS.

" the BCS Standings will once again include three components: USA Today Coaches Poll, Harris Interactive College Football Poll and an average of six computer rankings. Each component will count one-third of a team's overall BCS score in the BCS Standings.

The statistical rating system used to determine the teams that will participate in the championship game of the Bowl Championship Series consists of three components and each will count as 1/3rd of the final BCS formula - subjective polls of Harris Interactive (replaces AP) and coaches (USA Today) and six computer rankings."

Thanks. I stand corrected. Then watch as the coaches and Harris manipulate it so that it's not Alabama or Oregon in a rematch. Enough quality games for Oklahoma to do that in their minds.

OU, if they beat Okie State, will have the best win, but -by far- the worst loss.

In the end, no one-loss major team will have a legit gripe. That said, If Bama wins out and Okie State loses, I think it's very likely to be Bama in the game. Fair or not, we're one of those teams that gets the benefit of the doubt.

Fair or not?

It's damn well deserved.
