my first wife was telling her sister that her doctor always checked her for something that involved him sticking a finger up her ass every time she went in for a physical.

Her sister, who had the same doctor and rang in at about 240 pounds, informed her he never did anything to her ass.

That was an interesting moment

I liked this passage from The Bully of Toulon, but I would've used a colon instead of a dash:

"At the Stark County courthouse in Toulon, where Abraham Lincoln spoke in 1858, records of legal proceedings are still entered by hand in hefty leather diaries. Under the letter "T," going back more than 30 years, are myriad cases against Curt Thompson. Some appear harmless enough: a dispute with an employer; traffic citations; failure to keep a dog's vaccination records current; violation of a litter ordinance. But others seem bonded by a common theme—vendetta."

heh, I'm 8 years into group 5 - take 10mg daily of both prevastatin and lisinopril - have had periodic bouts of gout for the last 3 years and had 2 kidney stones pulled out my left ureter last week - I can't frikkin' wait for my '70's...

I've had gout. My first flare up, I thought I had somehow shattered the bone in my big toe. Had a friend in radiology shoot a film Snapped it up on the light box and didn't see any breaks and accused him of pulling the wrong film.

He said,"bet it's gout." I argued and told him, "BUT I'M NOT FAT!"

Anyway, it was gout. Hurts like a summbitch. Took colchicine, Lortab and Indocin until the pain was bareable and then went on allopurinol. Been on it every since. It and Levitra are my only two meds. And I won't consider doing without either.
