In fairness, that senator also cited hurricanes in Alabama and wildfires in Texas. Not sure how wildfires are connected to global warming, but I guess he was on a roll...
changing rain patterns create massive droughts which in turn generate massive wildfires.

It is funny how everyone talks about climate change and what can be done to prevent it and such.

When Mother Nature is ready to be done with humans being on the planet, she will shake us off like fleas and not even break a sweat.

My, aren't you the cynic. I'm sure there are plenty of people who actually care about what is good for the planet. You are clearly not one of them, but that doesn't mean you get to tar everyone with the same ugly brush that produced you...

You're the one who claimed that nobody who is concerned about global warming really cares about the earth, they only want power...

Rand Paul today defending Apple at the tax hearing

SEN PAUL: I don’t know of anybody on this panel who tries to maximize their tax burden. I mean my question for Mr. Harvey : Do you take any deductions on your taxes?

MR. HARVEY: Obviously I do.

SEN PAUL: Do you choose to maximize your tax burden or minimize your tax burden?

MR. HARVEY: Uh minimize it.

SEN PAUL: Do you think you’re a bad person for doing that?

MR. HARVEY: Absolutely not."

that woman reminds me of my mom with her mannerisms, although I can't imagine my mom saying "thats life in the big city" after a tornado wiped out her home.

After an F5 and an E4 (I have no idea what the difference are other than degree of badassness) hit my town in the course of 14 years, I'd be reluctant to return.

The issue isn't doing whatever is legal to minimize your tax liability, the issue is whether the tax structure is screwed up to the point where corporations benefit from the government and regulatory structures existing here, but pay virtually no taxes that feed the government giving it its protection.
