Re: Florida State Seminoles
just watching the news now. I've seen storm devastation from Tornados. I don't think I've ever seen this before. They lost the hospital and schools. Those things are built to withstand some pretty serious shit.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
My wife said something about climate change and my 6-year-old asked what that meant. i tried to explain to him that a slight change in the overall temp of the earth would make a big difference and could cause things like really big tornados. who knows if that's the case but I had a second where I tried to imagine living on a planet in which megastorms, either tornados or hurricanes, were a constant problem, like some shit from Dune. then again, my parents probably wondered, amid the Cold War, if I'd ever live to be 40 before we and the Russians blew up the planet.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
Alabama had over 230 people die in the April 27, 2011 tornadoes. It wasn't just one tornado there, though.

yeah, that was a gang of tornados running amok across the US. this was one giant fucking twister that boiled up in minutes apparently. 200 mph winds. there's nowhere to hide from that but underground. If that shit comes this way, as it did in 2011, I'm driving 2 hours to the beach

Re: Florida State Seminoles
This one tornado in that system was an F4/F5 winds greater than 200 MPH at the beginning - and even after it went north, winds picked back up to an estimated 190 mph.
64 people died from this one half-mile-wide tornado. Over $2 billion in damage - which would have been worse, except it went through a good patch of rural areas.

Amazingly, only 6 UA students died. The Bama long snapper, Carson Tinker and his girlfriend hid in a bathroom. It sucked him out and threw him around 100 yards. They found her body in a tree. The dead bodies in the trees strikes you with the tornadoes. Made me think of Nina Simone's Strange Fruit.
I worked the storms. First storm I had worked since Katrina. I would prefer to not work another one. Makes my heart heavy for the people in Oklahoma.

Did you just do the same thing, in the opposite direction, that you castigated a politician for doing yesterday?

I think he just reported what experts/elites have said in a relatively short time span.

On the contrary, I was showing that one shouldn't jump to conclusions as to the cause of recent tornado activity. Just trying to calm down the knee jerk hysteria.Bklyn wrote:Did you just do the same thing, in the opposite direction, that you castigated a politician for doing yesterday?

I wonder if those last two were part of the same cell? Re: Florida State Seminoles
"On the day that followed they crossed a lake of gypsum so fine that the ponies left no track upon it. The riders wore masks of bone-black smeared about their eyes and some had blacked the eyes of their horses. The sun reflected off the pan and burned the undersides of their faces and shadow of horse and rider alike were painted upon the fine white powder in purest indigo. Far out on the desert to the north dustspouts rose wobbling and augered the earth and some said they’d heard of pilgrims borne aloft like dervishes in those mindless coils to be dropped broken and bleeding upon the desert again and there perhaps to watch the thing that had destroyed them lurch onward like some drunken djinn and resolve itself once more into the elements from which it sprang. Out of the whirlwind no voice spoke and the pilgrim lying in his broken bones may cry out and in his anguish he may rage, but rage at what? And if the dried and blackened shell of him is found among the sands by travelers to come yet who can discover the engine of his ruin?"

Re: Florida State Seminoles
on the flip side fox was inter viewing another guy surrounded by destruction --bodies being pulled out of the school, obvious total desolation//despair/and misery all around and this joker was thanking jesus oblivious to all the horrors being experienced.thanked jesus over and over and over on two different channels. I'm all for a little faith but that dude needed to STFU and go find somewhere to help instead of selling his story from 1 reporter to the next

Fox had some daffy cunt on the phone, she was splitting time b/w talking to the reporter and making off-handed comments to whoever was sitting there with her, like "Yeah, it's just turrible... what? Put that down! What's that? Oh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Look what just blew in! It's a Longhorns hat!! Oh HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Um, yeah, it's just turrible!" Stupid fucking cunt...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
heard one interview, guy said it was just like the movie "twister" - he saw horses being blown around in the sky.
Then l'm watching the news and there is these leveled neighborhoods and two horses just standing there in what used to be some guys yard.

In fairness, that senator also cited hurricanes in Alabama and wildfires in Texas. Not sure how wildfires are connected to global warming, but I guess he was on a roll...
