Without power and cell service until just an hour ago. I’m in Jackson County up on the plateau near Cashiers. We’re higher up so we didn’t have as much flooding as Asheville, Hendersonville, and those communities along the French Broad river. If you are familiar with Lake Lure and the Chimney Rock village area, it is gone. Google before and after pics of Chimney Rock to see what happened. Having no power and cell service for 3 days is mentally insane these days.

I slept a lot & read everything in my place. Went in town to use my phone & check in.

Did I-40 get fucked? I still have no idea what happened outside Beaufort.

I-40 West of Asheville heading to Tennessee has a bunch of landslides that are closing down both directions.
