Interesting. An "It's not crazy, it's sports" ESPN commercial during Monday Night Football featuring the rival between City and United without even mentioning soccer, Manchester United, Manchester City. It just expected you to "get it."

I'm sure there are plenty who didn't, but its acknowledgement that there are a growing number of people who will.

Those who don't get it shouldn't be told too much, lest they get offended. Well played ESPN. When no one loses, it's as close as one can get to everybody wins.

personally I think Lance is crazy to confess at this point.

I would just disappear from the public eye for a 3 years and let people forget about me.

He wants to race again, eCat. Apparently, this was the only way.

wanting to race again is costing him millions of dollars in potential lawsuits

wanting to race again will take years before he even has a chance to compete

He was nuts to come out now

oops wrong grammar

He was nut to come out now.

yea I understand he wants to race again, but I just can't wrap my head around the desire to compete , at his age on a diminished stage - I mean, I know he is doing triathlons and what not but it will never be for mega fame or money again. Sponsors won't go near him at this point.

But his confession is just going to open the flood gates to all the people that he threatened and sued. He basically ruined Greg LeMonds licensing deal with Trek which cost LeMond potentially millions, he earned bonus' and fee's based on him being a clean cyclist , etc.

The upside just doesn't nearly come close to what he's going to have to endure for the next few years.

I guess confession is good for the soul, but its clearly established, that like a high sperm count, Armstrong doesn't have one.
