Concur. Clemson has far superior talent on both lines, and that was the ball game. Our only hope was that Clemson would do some Clemsoning with stupid penalties, play calling and turnovers. There was some of that, but UNC made too many mistakes of its own.
Clemson will not win the national tire if they continue to make the mistakes they have made the past 3-4 weeks.

Who wants to win a tire anyway? Isn't that a Wiz thing?

That was as bad a botched call as I can recall.
Official whose only job is to watch that somehow blows it - imo in that situation it has to be blatantly obvious such as the guy who is 2 yards offside recovers the ball.
Horrible break for Heels.

It was a bad break, but the boys needed to score a touchdown AND the two point conversion. I think they would have had a great shot at a td, but the two point conversion would have been a one in four shot at best.
The better team won. UNC needed to play a perfect game (no turnovers, no stupid penalties, no stupid decisions/plays like that botched fake punt and botched two point conversion) and Clemson needed to do some Clemsoning. Clemson did its part and played an average game outside of the trenches while doing its fair share of stupid shit, but UNC didn't. When you have to hope for so many variables to go your way, you are lucky to be in the damn game.
The best team won. End of story.
This season far exceeded any UNC's fan expectations, and don't let them tell you anything else. Some thought we would win the coastal, but every UNC fan knows that we will fuck it up when it comes to football. For once, they won all but one game they should have won. Now, the key is to improve line play, keep recruiting talent, keep the coaching staff together (as much as possible) and use this season as positive momentum.
Losing Marquise Williams is huge. He wasn't the most accurate passer. Trubinsky is a much better passer, but Williams is a gamer. He is big, strong and mobile. He hid a lot of flaws in our line by being able to avoid sacks, fight his way out of sacks and turn chicken shit plays from losses into gains. He made a lot of stupid decisions, but he would do something to more than make up for it.
Landon Turner is going to play on a lot of Sundays, and he will be missed. However, the other four starting OL return.
Ryan Switzer is likely going into the draft, which sucks. Losing Davis hurts because he was a dependable possession receiver capable of making clutch catches. However, Bug Howard (possibly declaring but highly doubtful), Mack Hollins (possibly declaring due to his age, but he needs to work on more first) and Austin Proehl are more than capable of filling this offense's needs at WR.
Hood and Logan at RB with Williams backing them up? RB will be just fine so long as they stay healthy.
Defensive improvement will be interesting to watch. I think this team will miss Schoettmer more than most realize. If they can keep the defensive staff largely intact, I am excited to see the transition to year two of this system.
Also, Fedora needs to continue with this maturity. He made some stupid mistakes this year, but there weren't as many. He is maturing, and it shows.
Clemson won't win it all, and thank God for that. Fuck that hypocritical cocksucker Dabo. I hope OU beats the living fuck out of them. Screw that conference pride bullshit.

I called 10 wins for the Heels after we lost to SC, and I meant it...

Where was UVa during all of this?
....
That's what I thought.
Kudos to that kid for hitting a great shot, and kudos to the passer for making a great play.
