All right so last week I have to help a lady deal with her fucking Apple computer. Now I am working with a bunch of lawyers now so that should tell you a lot. So she is out at home with some kind of shoulder injury or some shit and wants to work at home. So on her computer she can't get the Citix app to load / launch properly. I tried to remote into her POS a few times but each time would get disconnected. So she is getting frustrated and pissy and starts mouthing off about how Apple is better and we should know how to use these and my favorite quote of the whole thing..."50% of the world have MACs and you should know how to use them!!"

Okay, so I suggest that we restart the MAC and start fresh cause I don't know what this bitch has open and well she is just being a joyless cunt at this point. At this point she proceeds to do so and it shuts off. Meaning she Shut Down instead of Restarting. At this point I tell her, no problem just go ahead and power it back on and we will go from there.

I shit you not, SHE DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO TURN IT BACK ON. She starts ranting and raving about how it powered off and how I should know how to turn it back on cause "50% of the worlds have MACs".



I proceed to tell her I have no idea how to turn them as I don't use them. She demands then that someone come to her house and resolve these issues for her. I tell her I will see what I can do and will escalate it to someone else.

What I really wanted to say to her was "Well sweetheart, 50% of the world may have MACs, but apparently only 99% of them know how TO TURN THEM THE FUCK ON!!"

I took a survery of people I know. 1 person out of 20 has a MAC that I know. You know why? Cause they don't want a TOY / Status symbol.

Okay, I feel better now.

I once had a guy call me from one of those credit card phones on a plane demanding that I tell him how to fax from the newly acquired laptop with the 14.4 fax modem. This was like 1993.

After I inform him that he doesn't have the windows specific drivers installed he proceeds to start yelling at me asking me if I knew how much this phone call was costing him.

I told him I could help him with that and then I hung up on him.

Turns out he was a V.P. of marketing. Probably not one of my better career moves with that company.

If 50% of the world used MACs, then MACs would have more viruses. The only reason these 16 years old German , RPG'ers don't write nice malicious code for MACs is because they get more bang for the buck going after PCs.

To turn on a mac you hit the button that has the universal symbol for power/on/off (bar inside a circle). It is ridiculously hard, and I can see how someone would have trouble.

Also, my PC is the one I use as a toy.

I think MAc's are a lot more user friendly with idvd/itune/imovie/ishitunot/etc etc

I have to camcorder a lot of shot to my parents/daughter/etc and mac was a nice in that regard. love having the hard drive in the monitor also

Yeah as far as graphics/video stuff, I am sure a MAC is superior. For Facebooking, email, porn surfing, and apparently remote access using Citrix and such, then a PC is better and isn't a status symbol.

You would think if you own something, you know how to use it. Just a logical thought in my mind, maybe I am crazy.

What the hell is a Mac?

I paid $79 bucks for my PC, I salvaged the DVD-R, video card and about 1 gb of ram from my old machine... this bad boy flys and I do all my gaming on consoles so it will easily hold me down for 2-3 more years

I also installed a bare bones hacked version of XP SP3 so it doesnt have all that silly shit installed

for what I paid & what it does, I could never pull this off with a MAC
