I don't have any problem with DookSucks as a person. Its his PROFESSION that makes him an asshole. He can practice any form of law. I would rather have him chase ambulances than practice family law.

The worst possible lawful profession there is on the planet is medical doctor performing abortions. They should all be killed, all of them. One bullet to the temple, gone. They wasted their perfect education to become infernal monsters. DS chose the second worst possible legal profession.

I take pride in the work that I have done. In writing code, I have done work that almost no one else has a high enough IQ to do, AND I made the world a better place. I enriched the world. Not DS. All he has done with his intelligence and education is leave a path of ruin and destruction.

if they get divorced chances are I'll never see the guy again so I'm not going to go too far into this and cross blood relatives who I'll have to interact with for a few more years.
I understand. I get it.

Sometimes you need to do that though. I am quite certain that you do not hold your wife's sister in high regard at the moment. Sometimes (for the sake of society and other family members) you need to cross blood lines, shame, and shun.

The thing is gentlemen, marriage in the United States is fragile enough. Fragile. Our daughters are (largely) not getting married. In most cases, they have no suitors, no one chasing them. And the reason why that is, is people like your wife sister. You see a young man is going to see what your wife's sister did to her Jewish husband, and (most likely) he will never marry because.... she might go see DookSucks and ruin him the way your wife's sister ruined the Jew.

The young men who are successful and marriage minded, they are (increasingly) IMPORTING wives. They go to Ukraine, the Philippines, South America, anywhere they can find hot, thin, submissive women who will not fuck them over. That is what they want now, not our lonely adult daughters, simmering in feminist imperative, who long to be married.

This is our fault. We elected these fucking assholes to state legislature that gave us No-Fault-Divorce in all 50 states. God is crying because we ruined His second greatest gift to us. And if we can't act globally (and change state legislature enough to remove these infernal divorce laws) the least we can do is act LOCALLY and shame people who use these laws to their advantage. Unfriend them. Remove them from church. Ostracize them. They become persona non Gratta. Remove them from your life and make them realize that their actions have consequences.

You can't even play tic-tac-toe, you haven't coded a goddamn thing in your life...

Some people are oblivious to shame. Just look at yourself. We've shamed and shunned you in here for years and you're completely oblivious to it. Why do you think anybody else would care if you did it to them?
You are not shunning me. You just typed a post to me, engaged with me. That is not shunning. That is the opposite of shunning.

As far as shame goes, what have I ever done to be ashamed of? Why should I feel shame? I have been shamed before hedge and in those cases, I deserved it because I did something terrible and wrong. And I had to atone for it. What have I done (here) that is shameful? Name one thing?

Both of my girls are happily married. Maybe it's your fault nobody wants to marry your daughter, not hers. Can't say I'd blame any young man for running as fast as he can once the thought of having to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with your stupid ass crosses his mind for the first time...

Retired. 28 years in IT. 26 of those 28 in Computer Science. 12 of those 26 as chief arch.

I'm done. No more .Net for me. No more inheritance. No more Angular. No more SSIS or SSRS or SSMS. So more dynamic SQL. Done. I did my fair share. I made my fortune and I am done. I do other things now. I use my education in other industries.

I am disgruntled Rat. I am disgruntled and discouraged with a computer science industry that has been completely overwhelmed by India and their work ethic, disgruntled with an industry where millions (billions) of dollars flow from Google/Microsoft/Apple/Facebook to lawyers on K-street to congressmen on Capital Hill for the sole purpose of expanding the never ending flow of H1B for no other reason that to make it as cheap as possible to hire software developers. These people from Asia, they don't share knowledge the way I do. They do not leave remarks in their code. They make it impossible to follow their work when they are gone. I am done writing with colleagues who see my code and because it may not be EXACTLY the way they would have done it, they go out of their way to try and undermine me at the office because they can't be bothered to learn new things. I am done working for managers and directors and CIOs who are not the least bit technical but got their do-nothing management jobs simply because they were friends with someone in college (and they gave them the manager's job) because they aren't smart enough to code.

Logan runs an offshore coding operation in the Philippines. Used to run a call center but realized there was more money in coding. Basically put IB out of business. Those guys do better work than IB and you only have to pay them $20 a day and a walnut and they're happy...

Another thing I don't miss, having to set up a Google meet at 11:30 PM (from my home) to do "stand up" with Bangalore India. I had to manage a few teams offshore. And when I say manage, I don't just mean the damn scrum master. I actually got into the code with the team and we went step by step to get things working. And most of the time, it was bullshit from the customer changing-their-mind mid-sprint and demanding that my team stop whatever it was doing and alter the pages with their new changes.

I had a Doc in my 06 rehab get booted for doing that. We were off site at the gym & he filled his water jug halfway up, mixed it with water & stumbled home. Never saw him again.
