Tick, FACTCHECK is pretty liberal. I once linked them claiming that something was "untrue" but their own site said it was true at the same time because it made the democrats look bad. It was about a 300 million cut to Medicare that they tried to say didn't happen, but then in their own links that they provided the article clearly stated that there would be that cut and Wrangle was the one that was saying it.

They are part of the 9

As a matter of fact, even NBC admitted that everything that Ryan said was "factually true" but wanted to say that it wasn't true in spirit even if he "had the facts right". That plant DID close after the the messiaha took office. The last car was made well after he took office. That was very easy to document and in fact is true. Whooops seems the "fact checkers" were wrong on their "facts". Seems like they are saying because it was talked about before Oprama took office then that counts as closing, even though they were still making product after he was elected. Oh well, you can't expect the media arm of the DNC (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN) to report that.

Rat, there is no doubt he said it. That's why the question was thrown up there in the debates. He said he would raise taxes even if it decreased revenue in the intrest of fairness (re punnishing success). I believe he also said in that interview that taxes should be used to redistribute wealth regardless of how much the treasury needs.

Here's to Hoping Obammer doesn't change a thing....

More than anyone else in this race, Paul Ryan has spoken of the need for fiscal discipline and economic growth—two themes that have been largely absent from the Obama-Biden campaign—which explains a large part of the Ryan-inspired Romney bump.

For his part, President Obama needs to change direction—immediately and decisively. His campaign strategy has been to divide the country on the basis of class, demonize the wealthy, call for higher taxes and unceasingly attack Mr. Romney. Yet poll after poll has shown that while voters embrace the idea of higher taxes on the rich, it does not translate into votes.

In 2008, Mr. Obama promised to help unite America in a "post-partisan" Washington. But the 2012 campaign has been one of the most negative in memory. What he needs to do is acknowledge that he's made mistakes and that he wants to pursue a substantive approach to governance. Put another way, he needs to bring back "hope and change" and abandon his divide-and-conquer strategy.

Even CNN exposed this whopper...

"Despite incredible odds and united Republican opposition, our president took action, and now we've seen 4.5 million new jobs," San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, the party's keynote speaker, said.

I'm also better off than 5 years ago. But, then again, each year since 1989 I've been better than the year before.

Everybody is better off than they were 4 years ago. 4 years ago McCain was about to suspend his campaign so he could rush to Washington to help figure out what the fuck was going on that had caused the greatest global economic crisis since the great depression. Lehman, Wachovia, Bear Sterns and Merrill Lynch were teetering on bankruptcy, the auto industry was in shambles and the stock market was plummeting. You clowns think Obama should've been able to magically fix all that on January 20, 2009? Fucking idiots...

The debt increased 90 percent under dubya; 60 percent under obama.

Most of Obama's increase was strategically designed to repair or mitigate the damage of dubya's 8 years. Dubya's late-term increase was designed to repair the damage of his first 6 1/2 years.

Some remember that we were heading off a financial cliff beginning in the fall of 2007. Others choose to minimize that time or ignore it altogether.

LMAO!!!!llll

Sooooooooo, Obammer mitigated the damage by (in effect) laundering money to industries/states he, Pelosi and Reid chose, i.e. the (UAW)unions, Solyndra, Kalifornia who then paid their tithes back to the DNC.......Shovel-ready BAAAABYYYY!!!

I guess the best part is states like Wisconsin, New Jersey, Indiana, and Louisiana that did the exact opposite with Repub governors/legislatures and are now truly on the road to recovery.

The report was written by the White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, and it chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs. The council reports that, using “mainstream estimates of economic multipliers for the effects of fiscal stimulus” (which it describes as a “natural way to estimate the effects of” the legislation), the “stimulus” has added or saved just under 2.4 million jobs — whether private or public — at a cost (to date) of $666 billion. That’s a cost to taxpayers of $278,000 per job.

In other words, the government could simply have cut a $100,000 check to everyone whose employment was allegedly made possible by the “stimulus,” and taxpayers would have come out $427 billion ahead.

On average, Democratic districts received one-and-a-half times as many awards as Republican ones. Democratic districts also received two-and-a-half times more stimulus dollars than Republican districts ($122,127,186,509 vs. $46,139,592,268).
