unbelievably bad decision. You have Lynch and you need 1 yard.

And they probably would have let him score so they could get the ball back quicker and have more time on the clock for Brady.

I wanted seattle to score that last 20 seconds just so belicheck would look like a dumbass for letting 40 seconds tick away when seattle was at the one. instead some nobodyeverheardof rookie saved his dumbass

would have been the bone head clock mangement blunder for the ages and instead they get the lombardi

I was fine with the play call. I thought it actually maximized the number of chances Seattle would have to score. It was second down and they were able to run the clock down into the 20s, so Wilson got a chance to throw the ball, and if it wasn't there he could throw it away and they would still have a timeout so they could run the ball on 3rd down, and then still have 4th down to score where they could also run or pass. Throwing there gave them 3 shots. Russell Wilson got greedy and tried to be the hero or just flat didn't recognize what was happening. I think the coaching staff is taking too much heat and Wilson not enough. Of course I'm not surprised that the stellar minds who have been hired to analyze football on TV have unanimously been unable to analyze what the Seahawks were trying to do.

They had 3 plays to score and due to the timeout situation, one of them was going to have to be a pass play if they were going to have to use all three shots. I'm sure Carroll thought he would still have the Lynch bullet in the chamber.

Or maybe you're the one that's got it wrong.

Any jackass can sit in hindsight and say it was a dumb play call because it didn't work. It was a bad play because Russell Wilson fucked it all up. Maybe Carroll shouldn't have trusted his QB at all or some shit, but I didn't see any reason not to trust him prior to that play.

it was still too high risk.

That throw? Of course. Wilson blew it. Throw it away if its not a sure TD. Deciding to throw a slant at the line was idiotic.

He had to get that one last superbowl party in....

Johnny Manziel has checked into a treatment center ... this according to multiple members of Manziel's camp.

A rep for the Cleveland Browns issued a statement saying, "Brad Beckworth, friend and advisor to Manziel and his family, has confirmed that Johnny entered treatment on Wednesday."

"Johnny knows there are areas in which he needs to improve in order to be a better family member, friend and teammate and he thought the off-season was the right time to take this step."

"On behalf of Johnny and his family, we’re asking for..privacy until he rejoins the team in Cleveland."

The Browns did not say exactly why Manziel is being treated -- but it seems pretty obvious ... considering his penchant for partying.

Earlier this season, ESPN's Skip Bayless said he'd spoken with several people close to the Browns QB and was convinced Johnny is an alcoholic.

Johnny responded to the criticism by hitting the bar scene -- and after the season, was seen chugging champagne at a hotel pool.

I can't hit Carroll too hard for the decision. He shut my mouth for the whole game when he decided to go for the TD at the end of the 2nd and got it. I was calling him an idiot the whole time...yelling "take the 3 points and that momentum into the locker room!" He showed me.

I still thought the proper play at the end of the game was not a slant to the meatiest part of the field, but a play action with a roll out that could lead to being a QB keeper. For the record, Lynch was like 1 - 5 on goal line runs this year, or some shit.

Either way, excellent game. It had to be because I was not pissed and I HATE New England.

Carroll trusted his hired OC, can't place it all on him although I'm betting he like Russell paused for a second after hearing the call. Even though aTm disagrees with me I am guessing 85% of Earth says that was a horrible call. Go post at best. Over the middle has to many deflection possibilities in the first place. Dumb call Sport.

Funny enough, I saw an episode last night at 11p. It was interesting.

If that was my kid, I wouldn't have done a reality show, though.

No matter who made the call, it was terrible. You run the ball there. If you can't score with Lynch from the 1 yard line on 3 plays, you don't deserve to win.

Period. Throwing any pass down there was stupid.

I haven't heard anyone besides aTm think it was right. If you even have a thought to throw once you don't go over the middle. Ever. A corner route is the only way and even that's usually a wasted play.

wilson rollout with option was only way to go if seattle wanted to throw. incomplete stops thje clock and you have time for two marshawn runs with a timeout in your pocket.

teh n we could all be talkking about bradys 2 picks and belicecks stupidity for letting the clock run
