Krispy Kremes will get you a lot in this town.

It got us a coach once as you may recall, with a perfectly symetrical round stomach...

C'mon OF... you and I both know Fulmer had more than one stomach. Which only makes the symetrical part more astounding.

Well then GBJ.... instead of saying symetrical, perhaps I should've said ASSstronomically huge?

Can't run the ball and definately can't play defense.

It looks like 3rd and Chavis out there. I had read that he loves nickle and dime packages, well that's what you get a bunch of little guys runnin around missin tackles and lettin people get 5 yards per carry because they are backpeddling at the snap.

At least Chavis only ran the crapstain at the end of the game and in critical 3rd and long situtations. Looks like Wilcox runs it most of the time.

That was a great catch. We just need a defense and a kicker, oh yeah a running game.

This is going to be a long, long year with our deficiencies.

I'm glad we won, but our running game, kicking game and D are not very good.

Florida is licking their chops waiting to get ahold of us.

I have seen people say "yeah but with our passing", that won't matter cause if passing is all we have then the dline of florida will eat our Oline alive and Bray will be lucky to get out uninjured.

Add that into the lack of speed on our defense at LB and in the secondary, well we have a long way to go.

We are getting there, and Dooley is doing a nice job, but there is lots of work to do.

Wow. I'm surprised at the level of pessimism here. This was a good win. I don't know if we're good enough to challenge the 'turds just yet. But we made some real noticeable improvements from last week. And if we make as much improvement between Week 2 and Week 3 as we did from Week 1 to Week 2, then I think we have a chance.

If we had a defense and a running game yes.

Without those we are toast.

Both teams are young, but the turds have experience and athletes where it counts most, on the lines. In the trenches are where the games are won. They have the edge there.

Besides that Bray isn't gonna have a week to throw like he has up until now and we don't know how he'll handle contact.

That said I love the direction the program is going and we can be good in a couple of years.

Not sold on Wilcox yet, too much nickle and dime for me, not enough pressure, especially not enough pressure up the middle and blitz packages. Maybe it will grow on me.

I agree that it was a good win... any win is.

We're not licking our chops. I'm not sure that we are anything spectacular to contend with. Your tackles and tight ends will probably have the easiest games of the season with our Defensive Ends. We don't get a lot of pressure on the backfield against QB's either.

I'm not sure you're giving the team enough credit, BOJ. We haven't had an abundance of wins to feel good about over the past few years. This is one of them, IMO. Cincy was a popular upset pick last week. They have some good players and a track record of performing at the BCS level. It was a good non-con win and we should all enjoy it as much as possible.

Does it mean we will beat the Gators? No, I wouldn't go that far. But it gives us some room for optimism. I think we at least have a puncher's chance.
